So I walked into the Couriers Mile.
Then I ran out firing my AER14 as fast as I could.

Never saw that many Deathclaws before.
Somewhere Ulysses is watching and laughing.

It's not the Deathclaws you should be afraid of... be afraid of the things even the Deathclaws fear.

Irradiated Deathclaws, crippling radiation, and Marked Men who regen health because of spiking radiation...what's not to like?

Satchel charges, Explosive rounds and a ton of Radaway make for a pleasant day on the Mile.Image IPB

*sigh*

This thread. I caved. Finally started a male Courier. Think I'll explore the pro-House ending (have done NCR and Independent so far) this time.

Got Speech up, now just meandering around trying to rack up the remaining 5,000 XP I need to hit Level 8 and grab Terrifying Presence perk to finally check that out. Making sure I get it before Nipton. Gonna be fun.

Seems to be the second playthrough in a row now where Johnson Nash gets trapped inside the Vikki & Vance forever. Done all the Primm quests, got them Sheriff Meyers, and now everytime I ask Nash what he's got for sale, he wants me to give him time to get back to his shop... and then he goes and sits at a slot machine until the end of time. Weirdness.

Also noticing my tolerance level for "Johnny Guitar" is dropping rapidly with every playthrough. OMG stop playing that song 8 billion times. There are others in the game.

Ranger with the big iron FTW!

Doubly funny if you rampage through the Powder Gangers in Ranger armor and the Sequoia.

May want to give this here a shot. You save up on a perk, and sounds more plausible, really - a Courier becoming a bad-ass mofo in terms of raw skills first, with the "presence" that brings second.

I appreciate the thought, but I am playing this game on PS3, not PC. Image IPB

Anyone else find it really funny to kill off Fiends while walking around in Power Armor?

I was using the Holorifle and just marching around in Arcade's armor enjoying the feeling of being invincible.
It was like being Iron Man or something.

Shame the Rock-It-Launcher isn't in FNV. Would be the greatest insult to kill those fiends by shooting scrap metal at them.

Quite liked depopulating the Boomer base with explosives too.

The Mile is truly one of the more notable personal achievements of any FO: NV gamer.

Going in there into the sight of a nuclear blast, soaking in the rads, fighting off Marked Men, Death Claws and trying to keep yourself alive every second you hit the impact zone is truly a stellar challenge on higher difficulties.

I can claim with out boast i survived the mile.

The Strength of the Bull conquered the traitor, the divide and everything before it from a Mad BOS elder, To the Think Tank to a back of drug addled trailer trash squatting in a canyon. It didn't fail on the mile.

Huh...so those GRA challenges are fun.

Got all three achievements and boy am I glad that was done.
Nothing is quite as funny as sneak headshotting a Deathclaw with a 22 pistol.

So finished up the Second Battle of Hoover Dam.

Nothing is quite so awesome as marching through that damn with an army at your back.
Plus seeing the Enclave swoop in with guns blazing is still awesome.

Since I had no need to conserve ammo I used my Minigun and laser weapons to full effect.
Honestly wonder what New Vegas will be like after the ending.

I've never been successful with getting Arcade's quest to trigger, in any run, so I've never seen the Enclave swoop in. I did get to see the Boomers fly in and bomb the area in my last run; that was satisfying.

I'm looking forward to seeing how things shake out with Yes Man and all the tin power, for the final battle. I've only ever sided with the NCR before, so this will all be new to me. Well, once I focus my attention back to FO:NV. Sadly, I'm still distracted, and my Courier is still in Zion. Still.

That is why you need a PC and to download Mission Mojave.
Did not have a single bug the ENTIRE game.

Plus just really have the wiki open at all times, and be careful as you go.
Shame you never did Arcade's quest since you get some of the nicest armor in the game.

^ That's the only Tesla armor in NV, right?

That was my go-to armor in FO3. Energy Weapons + Tesla Armor = seriously awesome.

And yes, I'm working on the PC thing. One thing at a time. I'm still stumbling on what to even be looking for, spec-wise, so it may be some time before that comes to fruition.

The Gannon Family Tesla armor is some of the best in the game.
Though really I found once my DT got past 30 most things did little damage.

I still have a seething hatred for those tribals in bloody Point Lookout.<_<

With their Ability to ignore partially to fully DT and inflict insane amounts of damage even on low difficulties?

I do more damage to myself with Explosives, than the Legion ever thought about doing to me.

There's no DT in FO3.
