You can earn loads of karma by killing random feral goals... I guess eliminating these creatures is considered an good deed.

^...And Fiends as well. With the added bonus of decent loot....and they respawn!

But, you'll be surprised how quickly that erodes with sticky fingers!

It is insane how much Karma you get for doing that.

I went from 0 from that level 50 perk.
To 1000 in under like 5 minutes.

I do believe the return to sender quest was bugged when i last played it.

Was going for a play-through where the chief stops his activities which supposedly SHOULD be possible if A you have either discovered Caesar's Medical condition or B killed the Man himself.

But after unlocking the quest where both the existence of his brain tumor is confirmed and you must cure it; No additional dialogue was unlocked and the only two options presented were the one's that were there already.

Which is odd given i got the "beheaded" for being an honorable and actually worth a damn foe ending before.

Guess one of the many, many, many little things that can screw with the code during base vanilla game play went wrong.

That is why bug fixes are a must.

Now I am off to kill Caesar as the Burned Man just to mess with the Legion some more.
Cosplaying and Assassinating! I can multitask it seems.

Amusing bug (?) in FO:NV today. I was on my way to Novac and dropped by Ranger Station Charlie (which, IIRC, is the one that later gets attacked and captured by the Legion). Two NCR characters were there, an unnamed Ranger outside and a comm officer inside the one building.

Also present in a nearby section of the camp, however, were two Legionaries...taking naps. I woke them both up and got either "Ave" or a dare to attack them. (I was kind of surprised that they weren't hostile - I'm already "vilified" by them and had an assassination squad ambush me on a hill.) Then I went back to both NCR characters to try to talk to them but curiously had no option to point out that their mortal enemies were about 30 feet away.

The bullets eventually started flying once the Ranger wandered back over and saw one of them, but I'm thinking the Legionaries must have spawned early and aren't supposed to be there until Station Charlie gets overrun. I wonder if they'll show up again when the story gets to that point.

took my Courier on a journey to deathclaw promonatory tonight. Something very satisfying about turning them into green piles of goo. Thank you Q-35!

Its been years but I'm playing Fallout 3 again, and my its my first PC run to boot. I was using the Sydney Companion Mod and I thought the recruitment dialogue was pretty funny.

Sydney: "Why would I want to wander the wastes with you?"
Wanderer: "I have a pretty sweet house."
Sydney: "Sold."

I'm paraphrasing but that was the gist of it, lol.

I really do wish Beth had gotten around to fully implementing the "Legion" Companion they had in the base game files.

._. Would have been neat to have a Decannus following you about the Wastes remarking on who should be beheaded or Crucified or what have you.

There's a mod that will add in a Legion follower. IIRC, you're Karma had to be neutral or worse and you couldn't believe a thing he says! LOL.

But seriously, it's there on Nexus and I think he has several hundred spoken lines.

Man, let me tell you something. If your Energy Weapons score is 19 (like mine is), Dead Money is hard as balls early on. I can barely use a Holorifle, so it's pretty much DEAD weight.

Thank the gods for MFC grenades, the automatic rifle, cosmic cleaning knives, and a knife spear. I'm taking a beating, but I'm giving better than I'm getting. Have been able to craft about 7 or 8 MFC Clusters which are great for ending engagements with multiple Ghost people quick!

Also, found the Sierra Madre snow globe, so those 2000 SM chips went to .308 rounds and stims. I'm sitting pretty good right now.

I never use the holo-rifle to be honest, it takes too long to reload and doesn't fire fast enough. I just use their spears or if I'm lucky I can find a fire axe in one of the red containers around. I just finished it to day and used the fire axe to get rid of the ghost people.

Saw the Mod wasn't exactly impressed.

But i have thought about adding it upon occasion but that said as previously mentioned.

I wish Beth had actually gotten around to doing what they had planned and as this give you a battle hardened warrior from the Legion as a "gift" from Caesar after supposedly doing a bit of "work" for him.

Supposedly to act as a "counter" to Boone who sort of has a stick up his butt for the NCR.

You know some one who will shoot you in the back of the head at the drop of  a hat after betraying the Legion <_<

I personally spend on energy weapons. The YCS Gauss rifle is my pet. I also like the holo rifle. Believe it or not, I used it to hunt deathclaws.

I would have liked to have had Ulysses as a companion if you were capable of talking him down. I know you can mod it in, but then again, that late in the game it would have been underwhelming.

A counter to Boone would have been fair for Legion-ites, but Obsidian's plans for the Legion didn't seem to pan out for the shipped game.

Finished Dead Money...again.

The more I play it, the more I see it for the work of genius it is. I didn't think so on the first playthrough. I really just thought of it as a pain, but the more I absorb of the story, the more I really like it.

Yeah, it's hard; yeah Ghost people are a pain in the ass; yeah, I hate restarting from zero on equipment; but transforming Dog/God into a different person to heal him, getting Christine to actually talk, gleefully killing Dean, trapping or killing Elijah, and all the foretelling of the Big Empty and a battle in the Divide...well...it all really speaks to me now. I think it took this playthrough (#3) to do it. It took me a while to get there, but I think a lot more of Dead Money than I used to.

OWB and LR are still my favorites, but I see why others might like Dead Money best.

EDIT: Now, off to Zion.

While you're there, would you mind checking on my Courier? She's still there. I got sucked up in a DA vortex. Image IPB

Honestly they were mentioning Uylesses's in every DLC bringing up the ultimate conclusion of Lonesome Road and the confrontation of the two Couriers.

In my latest play-through it was an ironic sight to be sure.

The Former Legion Courier was confronted in the heart of the divide by a current Legion Courier; Their Allegiances reversed.

And there in the heart of the temple those two battled and ripped each other apart with the new Courier Six ultimately emerging the victor.

The Shadow of the Bull walked with him all the way to the ends of the Divide and beyond it.

I'm actually getting ready for my first DLC run myself, do you guys recommend Dead Money before or after OWB? Already planning to do Honest Hearts first and Lonesome Road last.

Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. That's the order I do them in, I'd recommend Dead Money before OWB for no particular reason but I personally think it is best that way.

Dead Money-Provides you nearly unlimited resources, decent weapons and armor and plenty of chems, caps and items worth cash in the Mojave.

Point being, milk the post DLC rewards for Dead Money and it becomes the best dlc in terms of output by far.

Need a hundred stimpacks? No issue with those Casino Vouchers.

Several hundred 3.08 rounds? No issue, Ultimately in terms of resources? Its just the best dlc to have in game.

Played for just a few hours tonight but I feel like I accomplished a lot:

-Did the whole Rex brain quest
-Finished off "Guess who I saw Today"
-Killed the legendary Cazador (pretty easy fight too)
-Upgraded ED-E with the Followers
-Cleared out Quarry Junction (again, not too difficult. Just used my Sniper Rifle and Boone and we had no issues, even with the Mother/Alpha Male)
-Cleared out The Prospector's Den

I always play DM first. Sheer resources alone make it worthy of playing first.

Once you've piled up enough stims, RAD-X, Rad-Away, and .308 rounds from the vending machines, go to a holo-vendor and sell everything you don't want for pre-war money. I re-visited all the holo-vendors after dealing with Elijah, and sold three gold bars and a boatload of loot, and took it all in pre-war money. Still left with two bars for keepsakes. Take what you can out of the Sierra Madre, and you'll be fairly rich at the end, with the ability to buy anything, in as many quantities as you want, back in the Mojave.

I personally think the DLCs flow best in the order of release. DM, HH, OWB and LR.
