Oh fallout 4? Cool. I was just beginning to lose hope in that.

It doesn't matter what I say because my avatar makes it sound excited anyway!

But yay Fallout 4! Still kinda hoping for a southern area, maybe New Orleans.

Isn't it going to be Boston, Massachusetts that's more or less been leaked to be the next location? Commonwealth, ahoy!

I'm not really interested in Fallout 4 since it is going to be developed by Bethesda and not Obsidian.

It'll probably be Fallout 3.5 which is probably great for Fallout 3 fans but not for most New Vegas fans.

I still want a joint project between the two. Now I'll just go cry about that never happening.

In a way, New Vegas was a joint project, Bethesda having previously made a version of the Gamebyro engine for Obsidian to use and the results was bugs galore but also the open world one would expect from a Bethesda game filled in with actual quality quests and good story.

OMG

Just started a FO3 playthrough, got to the Super Duper Market, got the Firelance rare encounter ... AND CAN'T BLOODY FIND THE THING! Now I have to reload the safe just to make sure that I may get the Firelance in a future event and actually find it. Because really, I bloody scoured the entirety of the environment around the place and aside from the Alien Power Cells there's nothing I can find.

It's legitimate, Mirada Studios asked LinkedIn to remove the posting as it was in breach of their NDA.

Fallout 4 will likely be revealed at E3.

Good catch Vroom Vroom. It's a legit as far as we can research it. Kotaku (just google Fallout 4 and look for the first Kotaku link), has some other supporting information that Mirada is frantically emailing all gaming sites to pull down the information.

Jason Schreier also posted in that thread as well. (He's the guy with some credibility and solid insider creds, that stated emphatically in January ... Kotaku picked it up - link: http://www.reddit.co...chreier_states/

...that we would get a FO4 announcement within the next few months....well, June is within that window.

I don't think there's any doubt we'll get the announcement next month. I have been waiting for years...F#@&ing FINALLY (I hope)!.

Good catch!

With all of these really good Netflix series being made, I wonder if Bethesda would let them make a show that takes place in the Fallout universe. I would watch that more eagerly than even Daredevil. Fallout (along with the Elder Scrolls) is Bethesda's biggest property right now, and with the inevitable announcement of Fallout 4 and the new Mad Max movie, it's not like post-apocalyptic media is going anywhere anytime soon.

And speaking of the new Mad Max movie, it's got a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. I wasn't at all enthused to see it before based on the trailers, but if the critics seem to universally love it like it looks, I'll have to give it a watch when it comes out.

That is the rumored location, but that just sounds like I know half the things that are going to happen in the game

  • You will either be an android, or get commonly mistaken for one, and may even be a big reveal.
  • Main story will most likely surround the "Android Railroad", and the morals of said things being very black and white if it is Bethesda doing it.
  • There will be a dog companion.
  • It will be in a town that is practically impossible to navigate(seriously look at a road map of Boston)

I just think a New Orleans that 200+ years after the bombs fell became a post-apoc Venice would be really interesting, especially if there's the ability to use an air boat at least.

I really find it funny when old Fallout fans gripe about Bethesda's FO3 which sold more than all the previous Fallouts. All they need to do is add a lot more quests than what FO3 had and FO4 will be the game of the year. Expect Skyrim with guns.

Allegedly, here is a picture of a leaked document:

I personally hate the idea of the player character being voiced. Their reactions/tones have a habit of not matching the way I envisioned the words being said (mean, when I read the words as sarcastic or nice).

I thought that was all confirmed to be rumors.

But if Fallout 4 will be at E3. I'll be happy.

I don't know if you saw the last page or not, but on the last page I posted about how a company employee posted that they had worked on a cinematic trailer for Fallout 4 on the LinkedIn account. The said company then asked for it to be removed from LinkedIn the reason they gave was that it violates an NDA they have signed. Fallout 4 is pretty much confirmed.

Hopefully it comes out in October of this year, but I bet it'll come out next year. Rumor has it that the media will get a private showing and we won't see jack, but only be privy to the information that the gameplay is "awesome" (which is crap if true, because we are the customers and the gaming press doesn't/shouldn't mean ****).

Fallout was pretty niche before Bethesda bought the rights. Fallout 3 is essentially Oblivion, but in the Fallout universe. They widened the appeal and marketed the s**t out of it, so of course it's going to sell.

I was actually talking about this with a friend of mine the other day when I was playing New Vegas. The southeastern United States hasn't really been explored all that much in the series, has it? The first 2 were all in California, 3 is D.C., and New Vegas is... Vegas, and the surrounding Mojave area (plus Utah). Being a Florida native myself, I'd like to see what the war did to this region and the surrounding states. Maybe a future game taking place around Louisiana or Florida.

Yup and the mythological giant that was Van Buren would of only given the small community of old fallout fans joy. I'm going to bet that FO4 sells better than Skyrim.

i want F4 to be made by Obsidian. Bethesda will make boring Oblivion Skyrim clone. i'd rather wait 20 years than have another franchise killed.

The Fallout franchise is alive and better than ever! I don't know what you're talking about.

Obsidian's FONV was OK but the DLC was bogus, annoying and too difficult even on very easy (old World Blues made me stop playing). No way would Bethesda hand FO to Obsidian since Obsidian usually only does quickly made one offs like Kotor2, FONV which are ok games but Obsidian likes to drop some bombs here and there too often to be trusted.

Old World Blues was hard? i always thought Dead Money was the most difficult. or most boring, i can never remember.

i know they won't hand FO to Obsidian. that's why i want F4 as much as i don't :/

don't mind bugs (Eye: Divine Cybermancy being the closest thing to a perfect game).

And then, they also have to give the PC facial expressions.

Please, they'd have to give facial expressions to NPCs.

After the horror that was Oblivion I think they stopped with that idea.

Are the bugs because of Obsidian or because the Gamebyro engine is already a buggy PoS.
