I didn't get very far last night- mostly because I forgot to save after Old World Blues and had to replay the ending- but I think I found a bug. I dropped down some rubble in the Marked Men camp and got in an area that did not seem to have any exit. I ran around and around looking for a way out and ended up having to reload. Did anyone else find this? It was a street with a warhead at the end, and trucks arranged so you couldn't get through to the other side, and there were some buildings with a chain link fence behind them.

Most likely a Nuke is around you need to set off, maybe even on the other side.

You need to find the Laser detonator and set off the nuke.

That doesn't help when I've jumped down there and then can't get back out. I mean, even if I had the detonator in inventory, I'd be blowing myself up.

Oh well looks like you'll need to reoad an earlier save or an auto save. And the nukes don't have that muh punch, bout like an Fatman.

I think I got stuck in the same area. You need to clear a path by using the detonator on the warhead from a distance. Otherwise there's no way out.

Ok I think maybe I was in the area with the laser detonator, and just didn't see the path up to the rooftop. Got it this time around.

This portion of the DLC is obviously for the woman who likes to blow **** up.  :wizard:

I'm also very happy to have ED-E with me.

How do you get Ulysses to acknowledge a wild card character? I had high NCR rep, and I'd done their end-game quests up to the brotherhood, but I'd followed Yes Man's quests well past the point of no return, he was installed in the 38 and I only had two objectives left to hand in to him before hoover dam, and Ulysses kept treating me as NCR. Had I done too many of the NCR quests?
I also had the wild card duster appear in the epilogue though I never recieved it, but reading this I'm not sure what that means, if anything.

Nerdage, you pretty much answerd your own question. It would only take the Wild Card one if your standing with them (As in the thrid parties) was highest, versus the Strip (House) NCR and the Legion.

Bleh. You try and be a sneaky double agent, you end up working for them.. :bandit:

Ah well, I'll bear that in mind for next time. Thanks.

My main problem was that I was working with Yes Man, but my NCR rep was sky high. Will have to work around that problem. If I understand the wiki right I'll have to wear an NCR disguise to nullify my rep with them? And which faction Rep is then important for Independent? My standing with all the small communities?

No Ulysses. I'm not working for the bear. Chill out.

He hates whoever you work with actully.

And yes, factions like the Kings, Strip, Brotherhood, etc.

No problem with that. I just want him to hate the fitting faction. Otherwise I'll stand there like "Cool story bro. But why should I care about the NCR?" :D

Lol, whats funny is the only Nuke this options are the NCR and Legion, how he flips that around into hurting a wild card or house player beats me.

It doesn't really matter, since Ulysses' duster is the best one anyway.

I'm lost again. This is a theme.

How do you get into Ulysses' Temple? Is it through a cave?

You need to climb on buildings and a lot of rocks, IIRC.

Argh. I've been climbing all over buildings. Back to the drawing board...

This is the area I'm stuck in.  It's near the waste disposal site and the cave with Rawr.  I can see the temple up on the cliffs, but I can't get to it and I just keep backtracking all over this area.

This car is the beginning of the road to the temple.

Well... without the NCR trade routes Wild Card and House Vegas will have a little problem getting people to gamble in their casinos, since most of them come from the NCR.

But the Legion? *shrug* Who cares? The only thing you'll get from them is a bumper sword to the neck. **** the Bull.

I still think that it's funny that the FoA and the Brotherhood are happy if you don't nuke anyone. Shouldn't they also be happy if you nuke the Legion? It's not as if the Legion cares about them and I understand their "None of this shall happen again" attitude, but nonetheless they will be put to the sword like everyone else. Well... not the FoA if Caesar lives, but still...

Look at the base of the building laying on its side a Nuke is at the base, hard to spot if not careful, another one is near the top as well, and two are in the cave with Rawr...or is it four?

Point is nukes, and crossing fallen buildings are your only way to advance. You have to think outside of the box and take it slow and explore to find everything in this DLC.

Yeah maybe with the NCR as to the Brotherhood and Fallowers I think in the later they don't see the fallowers of Caser as being evil so much as the man that leads them. Plus on the vows and such they take, I think its like say the red cross or Medics, they have to heal and help everyone reguardless of faction. Like a captured US Medic or Preist in WW2 treating American and German Wounded, or reading the last rights. I think they see the legion as manipulated and not evil.

As to the Brotherhood, dpending on which faction, they see technology as helpful when properly guided, Or for the Western Factions, very dangerous and needs to be kept from everyone.  Plus keep in mind the brotherhood didn't consider the NCR a threat at all till they got stomped on, and even then say its "Well NCR hand numbers!!!"  Then look at the legion, barbarian slavers, that use hand to hand combat mainly, or Weapons below that of what the NCR has. They most likely laugh at the Legion just like the Boomers do everyone else, and then are shocked when you breach the defenses.  So they don't like the nukes on the one hand, and on the other most likely don't see the Legion as a threat, but the brotherhood depending on factions for the most are totaly snobs in need of glass stomachs.

Untill a gun is right aimed at them, the never learn, while decrying Humanity as a whole for the same thing. The only Chapter I've seen not so bad is the East, who turned more into "Knights of the wasteland." where they help the people an actively recruit from the populance, and thus have growing numbers (and thus maybe have control of the tegion now), and the Midwest Chapter is somewhere between the two. Thats why if I'm siding with the NCR I always ally the Brotherhood with them in hopes of briging them around like the Eastern Faction.

Overall did you have fun playing Lonesome Road? I have it installed but I haven't had time to play it yet.

I just read the following negative review that makes it sound like there's no exploration, no sidequests, more of a FPS:

I enjoyed it.
It's not like the other DLC's because it's strictly about Courier 6 and Ulysses and nothing else. Like the guy, who wrote the review said, it's straight forward. But I don't think that it needs sidequests and they wouldn't really make sense, imo.
It's the answer to the long asked question why the hell Ulysses nows the Courier and freaked out when he saw his name on the courier list für the chip. It answers the question pretty good, at least in my opinion, and establishes some kind of background for the Courier. Who (s)he was, where (s)he came from and what the connection to Ulysses is. If the reviewer didn't understand what was going on... well... maybe he should have listened more closely to Ulysses or searched his audiotapes.

I can understand where the reviewer comes from, but I don't agree with it. In my eyes it was a fitting ending to the DLC story arc.
