Who's going to betray you...

Shepard: "Do you just kill anyone who won't help you?"
Samara: "If my cause is important enough, yes. Are you any different?"
I'm pretty sure she'll see Shepard's cause is important enough and his/her motive as pure. Doesn't mean she'll be happy about it, of course.
As for the turncoat crew member...it's Kelly.

In seriousness the traitor has to be someone who has to be alive in ME3 that meanst it can only be Liara or the VS, otherwise we might never have a traitor because the traitor could have died in either of the two prior games.

Wrex, if left alive, is the more obvious traitor here: after all, who would benefit from the genophage not being cured?DarthSlim108 wrote...

Who tipped off Cerberus?
My guess is that it's a Krogan who doesn't want to make peace with the Salarians. If Wrex is alive, then maybe Wreav is the traitor. Could also be a Salarian who doesn't want Shepard curing the genophage.
Shepard himself being the 'traitor', through some kind of optical implant quantum entangled to TIM, is also something I wouldn't write off BioWare doing.

Is Shepard the one curing the genophage? No, but he's certainly ushering it upon the Krogan. I don't think it's that Velarn hates Shepard, and actively tries to disprove/dispel everything he says and does. Just from what we've seen from Velarn, I don't think he would really want this "mistake (Krogan race)" coming back in its former glory.
Before the Spectres, there was the STG. Maybe Velarn is the mole? You would think the councillors have access to STG business.

You mean "10 Things Mass Effect Fans MUST Know From Tie-ins" on newsarama.com?

Edit: #1 lists "an early sign of indoctrination". I'd quote it, but the lack of spoiler warnings on the forum/thread makes me hesitate.

Could be Maelon, maybe he changed his mind about curing the genophage,or perhaps wanted to credit not Professor Solus.

That is a reasonable guess. Considering Shepard is chock full of Cerberus tech of questionably advanced origin, it wouldn't be far fetched if Shepard was indoctrinated, or has the potential to be indoctrinated. It's more plausible than a VS offscreen indoctrination.

The Vs. betrays Shepard to Cerberus the very people they vehemently opposed to Shepard's face on horizon and the reason why they wouldn't join up with Shepard in me2 is completely illogical and its not as if people need another reason to dislike the writing of horizon.
Liara would make the least sense of all imo, so little in fact that i won't even go into reasoning why.
Vega would be awesome, it gives the character serious depth and a genuine reason why that character as opposed to some other one is forced (by bioware) on to your squad. He also has the advantage of being in every playthrough irregardless and doesn't need any replacement character to serve the same role.
Whoever it is would pretty much need to be with Shepard as well just so they could actually be in a position to betray Shepard at exact time you get there.
