I was planning on starting a new playthrough as a DW archer mix, and was wondering what skills, talents, and specializations I should use. And what attributes I should concentrate on.
Any help would be appreciated

if your going for a mix of both, why not get one spec for DW and one for arching, i would reccommend assasin/ranger
are you planning on lockpicking?
what about stealth, are going to duel wield more then arch or the other way around,
as for attributes, no doubt you need high cunning, dex, and some for constitution so dont become too much like a manmade glass.
skills, are you planning on using poisons, traps or stealing, if not, 4 in combat(not tactics), 4 in coercion, you will still have some left over

I`m going to dual wield the most, lockpicking is one thing I won`t go without.

I'd say that the most important archer skill to have is Aim. Aim gives nice bonuses to crit chance, damage and armor penetration.
If you plan to switch to dual wield as enemies get closer, the rest of the archery talents probably aren't going to be that essential. But if you have the spare points to invest, maybe go for Arrow of Slaying as well.

Arrow of Slaying is so bugged, it isn't worth it. The damage doesn't scale right, and you'd never be able to one-shot the tough enemies, even if it did. Check out http://dragonage.wik...rrow_of_Slaying to see just how screwed up the Arrow of Slaying's damage scaling is. Oh, and you'll need at least 3 ranks in Survival to know if the enemies are the right level for you to use it.gandanlin wrote...

However, Aim is excellent, and there are mods that fix Arrow of Slaying, if you really want it.

That should help for the archery. As you can see you don't need hundreds of abilities from the archery tree, master archer line and possibly scatter shot. Get top 3 in DW's first line, then bottom 4. Go even dex/cun split, getting 36 dex asap, Assassin/Bard specs. Always have Song of Courage running, momentum when dw'ing.
