And I'm liking some of the lighting and sense of scale in the concept art (Although I think they spelled "Orlesian" wrong)

Mulan II!The poster is kind of dreadful in that it looks more like a Disney movie kid's poster or something.
Or maybe Dangerous Orlaisians.

I really hope thats not Orlais as the architecture looks too damn much like Kirkwall's blockiness with everything a nice shade of tan/ off white.
I didn't pay attention to the colors, tbh, more to the architecture. There were columns in a circle perspective just like St Peter's Square and what looked like the front façade of Notre-Dame de Paris or Chartres, so... gothic / Italian renaissance. It looked good. Not like Kirkwall at all. It had, I don't know... style.
I don't know why, but I always imagined Val Royeaux in shades of grey (much like Paris, I suppose). Anyway, even if it's beige / tan / off white, nothing indicates that it will be like that in game, if we ever set foot in Orlais. Different medium, not the same limitations.
But that poster...

It's got a -lot- of dragons, in fact. Not too many, but enough.
It would explain why she is packing extra swords.
But personally more excited about Cassandra than Dragon. If only there were griffons.

I'm also excited at the prospect of dragons *gasp*... actually doing something relevant to the plot in Dragon Age.

In a time of darkness and barbarism, the Chantry has arisen—a religious order seeking to bring stability to a world corrupted by sinister magic. Led by the Divine, the Chantry’s Templar warriors ruthlessly restrain the Mages and their magical cabals. But when the Templars fail, the most elite order of the Chantry takes charge—the Seekers!
Is this implying that its after DA2 and the Templar/mage poopoo with the Seekers stepping in? Or is it stating in a more vague manner that its simply highlighting the Seekers role, leading up to DA2?
Probably expecting too much in terms of consistency, timeline or otherwise...

I think it's meant to be the Seekers role leading up to DA2. The description is probably broader reaching and somewhat vague in the overall timeline in order to draw in folks unfamiliar with DA:O/DA2. Hence the explanation of the Chantry - "a religious order seeking to bring stability to a world corrupted by sinister magic." We all know who/what the Chantry is, but the person new to the DA universe would not. I think it's meant to be generalized.Brockololly wrote...
I'm wondering when (and where) this takes place?
