Also the mission complete screen and an improved Hammerhead.

He doesn't ****** me off any more than the other two. At least he's being honest about his doubts, they're just being politicians. I don't want to rub it in his face, I just want him to believe in me.Tommy6860 wrote...

The turian councilor.
I only like him because you have to have at least one ass on the council that just pisses you off. Who knows, maybe Shep (or whoever your PC is), gets to make a choice whether he lives or dies when that councilor accepts the reality of the situation. Better yet, maybe it turns out he is incahoots with the Reapers in the plot.

I'll go ahead and put it out there......PLANET SCANNING. I actually enjoyed it! It felt very Star-Trekish to me in the sense that you're scanning a planet for valuable resources or for research purposes, or to find new places to explore. Dunno, i know i'm definitely in the minority here, but i kinda liked it. Do i think it can get tedious? Yes, and there's MUCH room for improvement, but i didn't despise it like everyone else does.
I just wanted more anomalies, even mundane ones to go planet side.

Yep, I hate Hammerdead, but it has nothing to do with driving. It's about that it feels like some arcade shooter gameplay. That's why I think Mako was better, because it feels more like simulation of vehicle.
The Mission Complete Screen - I loved reading the Illusive Man's personal report on the situation at the end of the mission. It gave insight into his psyche, and it flowed well with the story. It didn't "break immersion" or "intrude on the story" for me any more than the dialogue wheel.
I don't hate them, I just feel they where useless as no purpose at all, mostly breaking impression for no point at all.
Thermal Clips - I'll be flamed for this one I'm sure, but I just don't see anything wrong with thermal clips. Not with the lore (it has an explanation, though clunky), not with the gameplay, and not with the fun. The clip system makes you think tactically, and keeps you from spraying bullets all over the place with no consequence. It also encourages you to try out other weapons instead of using the same one all the time, because you will run out of ammo in one weapon easily if it is all you use.
I don't like picking termal clips from ground at all, I hate it. But I do like termal clips affect the combat it self. It just makes combat better as there is more variables in combat.
* Elevators
I actually liked these. I mean if you don't like them , you can avoid them too. It's impression detail, make game world feel little more real, like living.
* Decryption/Electronics back
I think it was fine as give little variable to gameplay, same what hacking and bypass does too.
* Armour classes
I don't hate armor classes. I hate they negative impact to combat it self. Heavy defence leads easyly in middle age combat. Where it's all about offense vs defence. Modern warefare is more about avoiding damage than taking it with armors.
* XP-as-you-go
Yeah, I hate all XP over everyting else. 100% useless feature in all games where it exist. This is number based gameplay as perfect example of metagaming, without any real connection to role-playing at all.
* Global cooldowns
No affect to me at all, global or induvidual, makes no difference, it's all about balance of gameplay.
* Ammo mods
I did actually like them, just not all effects.
* ME1 Grenades
I actually liked grenades
No Inventory - I disliked ME1's inventory system greatly, and embraced ME2's streamlined approach with open arms. That said, I'm not averse to having an inventory in ME3, so long as it isn't a pain to use.
I also liked ME2's way to handle items better than ME1's inventory system. It depense so much what kind of game we have. Mass Effetc isn't like diablo, where it's all about loot items, so that kind of system doens't fit in Mass Effect well. ME2's way was way better fit the games style and a lot less annoying.

I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been a question about Thermal Clips, that I've heard asked of yet.

Well they could always put armor on the Hammerhead, not exactly an impossible feat.

I miss the elevators, not a huge fan of the loading screens.
Different armors for different classes was good, I miss that. Some kind of ME1/ME2 hybrid system would suit me. I found it a bit annoying to have 50 different armor sets in my inventory in ME1, on the other hand, I found all my Shepards looked too similar in ME2.
Enter/Exit the Normandy in ME1 was much better than ME2. Found it to be annoying when you want to change armor peices/visit the Normandy for any reason in ME2 and have to go through a bunch of loading screens because for some reason you are required to leave port when you get onto the Normandy. Ugh. Then re-dock, go through the loading screens, watch (or skip) the docking cutscenes...bleh.
I'm on the fence about the global cooldowns, I think I like them. Although squadmates needed a shorter cooldown, I think. Shepard's feels about right, but squaddies feel like they take forever and a day to cooldown.
Choosing not to bring weapons would be super cool. IE: I'll bring my Assault Rifle and my Sidearm. That's it. I know that's not really pertinent to this thread, more of a wish-list, but hey, I'm putting it here
Love scene from ME1 was way more dramatic than the lame ones from ME2. I wouldn't mind seeing the same scene (like you did in ME1, no matter who you romanced), if it was well done like it was in the first game.
Didn't much care for the Mako or the Hammerhead, some kind of hybrid would be better for me. Although, if they allowed you to exit the Hammerhead like they did the Mako, I'd be happy. I never really kill anything while in the Mako, 25% reduced experience gain when you stay in.
Which brings me to:
I like the Mission Complete screens with the lump-sum experience. I find it tedious to gain exp from individual kills/codex entries. I much prefer to kill and get codex entries as they come and not worry about searching for every last one. I usually play completionist on my main playthroughs (get every codex I can, kill everything that needs killing, etc), but I don't like the feeling that I'm missing on character progress when I don't get them all on subsequent playthroughs.

Far from it. This actually seems to be the prevailing opinion on these boards. Which kinda makes this point the opposite of what the thread is going for. So. . . yeah.Deathwurm wrote...

The Mako was never the real problem, but the planet terrain. Driving the Mako on a regular surface is pretty nice when there are no thresher maws nearby.HolyWarrior21 wrote...
