Ask me questions.

People are getting lazy and not wanting to read at least a page back so:

I DID NOT USE GRENADES, DO NOT ASK ABOUT THEM UNLESS A DEV HAS STOPPED BY FOR SPELL.

They were definitely improved. Whenever the ones with riot shields appeared, the ones without would usually follow behind them, making it difficult to take out the group. BUT a singularity makes short work of those nasty shields ;)

That's a bug in their AI... we're going to be fixing that at some point. :D

As an aside... did you notice you could rip their shields off with pull?

NO! This is awesome! :P
I did not! I had not chosen pull as an ability, I was having too much fun with singularity and shockwave haha!

Glad you had a good time!

@Brenon

Are you guys working to make more of the Environment affected by guns/abilities?

We did some tests earlier on with destruction pieces, but couldn't really get the performance within spec... so not really (sadly).

I will say though, that it was pretty cool to be able to throw a guy into a pillar and see him leave a crack in the wall... and see the pieces collapse and fall on top of his body. Or to be able to use a singularity under a scaffolding that guys were running across and see it get torn apart along with the enemies... lots of fun... but too costly. :pinched:

Uh, why would you change that? That makes them a challenge.

You misunderstand, perhaps. Singularity trivializing Guardians is the bug.

I think so, wasn't Jesse Houston using that power when he did the playthrough? Or was it Liara who did it?

I know that Liara currently has it, so most likely that's where you were seeing it from.

I will jump at the opportunity :P Can Sentinel squadmates (Kaidan, Miranda) use double omni-blades and/or omni-armor Sentinel Shep gets?

Party members don't use any of the sync moves right now... they might eventually. They do have better melees available though (I think you guys have probably seen the new three hit chains for rifle and pistol).

i havent. what 3hit chain? :crying:

New melee sequences... if you hit it once you do a quick hit, hit it again and you do a follow through, hit it again and you get a nice meaty finish hit.

Basically an upgrade over the elbow of death from ME2.

I got a question about the the different types of possible weapon modifications. How much variety of weapon mods are there? Do they range from like suppressors to under-mounts? Or are they fairly standard as in like just a new rifle barrel that increases damage?

There are things like scopes, barrel mods, stocks... etc. Some modify damage, some can modify clip size, zoom magnification... things like that.

Will there be an explanation to why we can use the omni-blade? Such as an upgrade or a random squaddie brings it up or something? I think it'd be silly to just have it.

I imagine so, there will most likely be a codex entry (maybe something more)... there might actually be something already. The writers would probably have a better idea.

Please not a codex entry, how ever interesting they are, it'd be great to get a cutscene. :<

I doubt there would be a cutscene devoted purely to the omniblade, especially since it varies per class... I think the codex would probably be a minimum, and there could be something more, like a side mention at some point (I don't know for sure, I'm just speculating here).

Glad you like the new weapon sounds! That's the first feedback I've heard from someone who's actually played it (and doesn't work at Bioware). I'm curious, were you listening on headphones at the show? Or did they have speakers set up?
