So are they tied to the universal cooldown, like powers in ME2?
Any interaction with ammo powers?

Ok now don't my word for it because I was tired little fangirl at comic con and was still in a fancraze from meeting Ali Hillis. (bragging)
I do believe something happened (bigger boom) when Sheploo threw them and used concussive shot right after... and they behave pretty much like they did in ME1 trajectory wise and all that. They had limited ammo and their own cool down I think.. They are also upgradable in the skills.
Edit: And Im going to squee about the skill trees because it was the smex.

Can't be bothered going through the previous pages, but I would really like to know if the game 'felt' different to play, or if it came across as an expansion to Mass Effect 2.
For the most part, yeah, I did that a few times. Of course I'd miss the melee sometimes cause I didn't roll far enough but it's still possible.Golden Owl wrote...
Hello Soah,
Thank you for being so patient and asking everyone's questions...much appreciated....I haver sat here for the last hour or so reading every post and have a question myself.
In regards to Shep being able to roll, does he come out of the roll combat ready? Such as if he were to roll towards a mook, can he immediantly melee the mook?
.....I think you're thinking that we played the full game. It was only Liara and Garrus.Hellbound555 wrote...
did Tali say anything? how were squadmates in general? storywise and gameplay wise?

My only gripe is that with change to how Shepard runs and dodges you can get caught/stuck for a little bit fighting yourself to move forward from cover.

Definitely, even if it wasn't I'd still use a sniper.Golden Owl wrote...
Thank you Soah...As I play an Infiltrator with Widow, I am not sure there is much I can ask...though maybe, though I note Snipers rifles weren't available...just by looking at the general layout of what you saw and the improved mook combat behaviour....would you think ranged sniping would still be a viable combat option?

No probelm, glad I could help.Golden Owl wrote...
Thank you again Soah....with the rumors flying around about more melee, I had become very concerned about sniping combat style being made redundant (I suck at CQC....)....you have lifted a great concern off my shoulders....

I've said loads in the previous pages, if you really want to know, then please read though the pages. This was a 10 minute demo, you really can't get much out of it.Hellbound555 wrote...

Why are people obsessed with grenades all of a sudden? The way they work seems pretty straightforward to me.

Well that's what I want to know.
Do they work like in every other shooters or do they have cooldown as well.
And this is like the only thing that is left unanswered for me.

I can answer this since I myself played through all three available classes and I was the first in line for the opening at the Gas Lamp for the ME3 demo. Anyway, the new melee adds a new twist (the fact that all three classes had different charged melee moves was great soldier had the normal omni-blade stab, Sentinel had the double thrust forward with two omni-blades, and Adept didn't use the omni-blade but rather a charged biotic ball strike), the new viewing to the distance is a nice plus, modification of weapons was nice, new abilities for squadies, the new advancement of power upgrades (while I was playing as soldier I modified my adrenaline rush to go on for a much longer time than in it goes in ME2) and dodge rolling is nice. The new assasinating by pulling guys over from cover and stabbing them in the face is a nice touch. I loved the new shielded enemy targets. (Bioware I believe as master this kind of enemy npc with ME3 so far and DA2's Legacy) Graphics are vastly improved upon from environments to the textures of each characters clothes/armor. Squadies are much more reactive to what is happening around them and enemy units are as well. In short it did feel different but not too different from ME2. The improvements are very noticable.
My only gripe is that with change to how Shepard runs and dodges you can get caught/stuck for a little bit fighting yourself to move forward from cover.

The most important question I think is this: Has shep finally worked out the kinks from his shoulder?
