It's like the class upgrade, it's a passive health/shield boost. There's a little more to it but I can't remember the specifics.
I assume that you can choose which one you want to upgrade?

Is there something wrong with being a protoss player? OP = I got beaten by it, and am butthurt.
So yes, maybe Protoss are "OP".
Are the melees really, really cool?

Starcraft 2 race. That's what Soah's avatar is. Also a debatably over powered race, as you've clearly seen.

Basically a more visual modication system of what ME1 used, just not as combersome? I know how much it seems that the devs want to ignore anything from that game. Seeing as everytime someone mentions something that was in ME1 that is going into ME3 the devs always follow up with "Not like ME1!"Brenon Holmes wrote...

I got a question about the the different types of possible weapon modifications. How much variety of weapon mods are there? Do they range from like suppressors to under-mounts? Or are they fairly standard as in like just a new rifle barrel that increases damage?
There are things like scopes, barrel mods, stocks... etc. Some modify damage, some can modify clip size, zoom magnification... things like that.

Will there be an explanation to why we can use the omni-blade? Such as an upgrade or a random squaddie brings it up or something? I think it'd be silly to just have it.
I imagine so, there will most likely be a codex entry (maybe something more)... there might actually be something already. The writers would probably have a better idea.
(If you're even still around) I'd like to think his question comes from people like me who openly don't like the omni-blade because the omni tool is a holographic interface and I can't understand how something you can push your hands through can stab somebody in a suit of armor or burn them. After re-reading the codex entry though I think I can see a way the writers could make it work. Let's just hope they come up with something better then the entry for the reason everyone uses thermal clips now...

It just doesn't make sense how Bioware are saying "you have to figure out why Cerberus betrayed you" one moment, and then the next they're talking about indoctrination. There's more to it.
There doesn't have to be more to it. It's probably nothing more than a marketing gimmick to generate publicity. Let's them talk out of both sides of their mouth at the same time.
Eh, maybe. They didn't spoil Revan's reveal in KotOR. I'm pretty sure they didn't spoil the Bhaalspawn. They didn't mention the dark ritual, or the primeval lyrium. They didn't reveal Collectors = repurposed Protheans. So why would they reveal Cerberus simply got indoctrinated and that's all there is to it, if that is indeed the case?
Personally, I think Shepard's comment there is a bit of a red herring.
Your reasoning is quite rational and I would agree with you if I didn't get the feeling that Shepard's comment about Cerberus being indoctrinated was a slip - unintentional - on Biorware's part. After all, it is said in a gameplay video. The intention of a gameplay demo is to reveal gameplay mechanics, not story elements. Also, what makes me think even more that it was a slipup is that that gameplay demo takes place on the Salarian homeworld, which Casey Hudson said happens about half-way through the game. It's possible that Shepard still doesn't really know why Cerberus is attacking him after half the game has already been completed, but I don't think the plot twist will be related to why Cerberus is attacking you. The plot twist will relate to how the Reapers are defeated and so the reason Cerberus is attacking Shepard will be revealed relatively early in the game.
