I am not happy about the sentinel heavy melee.

Would look better than the dual omni-blades.

You mean a few seconds? Grab + stasis/biotic hold with one hand while simultaneously whipping out the omni-blade with the other, and in the next second the omni-blade is through the stasis field and the enemy. Short and sweet. The Spamming Troll wrote...
your melee animation would take a full minute to complete.
well, ok. a few seconds.....the exact amount of time it takes to die.
id rather use a melee attack that simply is just a melee attack.
i dont need mortal combat finishing moves.

lol yes, no mortal combat death blows please!
I'm thinking more of a tech, biotic combo. Maybe a blade slash along the neck followed by a fist hurl or maybe a biotic pull and stab, Could be overkill though.

Did they say all heavy melee's with each class will involve the omni-blade? Thought I read that somewhere, and it would be silly for the adept. I would think they would do some form of close range biotic attack.

Just please, Bioware, for the 4 billionth time, one of those orange Omni-blades needs to be changed into a purple Biotic-blade. Kthanx.

I don't see what's so awkward about the current animation. If we were talking about some sort of double punch then yeah, it's wack. But we're talking about thrusting two blades into the sides of an enemy's head. I think the animation for that sort of scissor of doom attack is pretty spot-on and fits the Sentinel well.

What's wierd about the animation is that Shepard's not even looking at the enemy when he thrusts.

It does seem rather lackluster. Considering the soldier already does a one handed haymaker, doesn't seem like much thought put into the dual haymaker for sentinel.

Adepts get Biotic palm strike - 2:10

Finally! I've been wanting to see what the adept's melee attack looks like, I would prefer a punch instead of palm action but still very nice.

as for the Vanguard, I want a huge biotic combo attack, maybe even some kicking in there, as not to copy the BIOTIC PAWNCH of the Adept

This can be combined with a biotic thrust. This makes sure about the target's death (impact into objects, walls etc), and cleans up the mess:).

why not an "overload" punch, to sun the enemy, and a quick 2nd punch packed with a "warp" to sen them packing/flying?

Eh, but with a combo of both, isn't there a good chance that it would become a bit too overpowered? The biotic blade doesn't sound too bad though- but then, how does that reflect their tech side? Sentinels are both- their strength lies in diversity.
Not if skill statistics were a little lower as a balance to being able to utilize tech and biotics.

Really, having his melee attacks follow this is fine. The class does not mean you have to be perfectly balanced between the two abilities, just that you can use them. Sentinel Shepard is far more proficient or effective on the tech side, so he'll go with his strengths.

The way I always saw it, the sentinel class was simply a class that had access to tech and biotic abilities, but tended to favor one over the other. (Both Miranda and Kaidan were Sentinels that focused more on their biotics, Shepard very clearly focuses on the tech side of things).

I get that Miranda has just Overload vs Warp AND Slam, but spec'd right for Insanity you're probably only ever going to use Warp and Overload so she's pretty perfectly balanced between the two when it comes to actual, practical gameplay. And Kaidan I killed off on Virmire and it couldn't come soon enough, so don't care there.
But that's besides the point. The real point I'd like to make is that there are three hybrid classes in Mass Effect 2 and two of them feel like they've obtained the perfect balance between their abilities. Sure it doesn't say anywhere specifically that Sentinels have to be perfectly balanced between Biotics and Tech the way Infiltrators are between Combat and Tech or Vanguards between Combat and Biotics but it should go without say. You pick the Biotic and Tech hybrid class expecting gameplay balanced around the two abilities - nobody picks it wanting Engineer-Lite with Warp tacked on.
