Restarting after 40hrs of playthrough

I do love this game when it isn't being so harsh on me, it is on normal difficulty because easy is just a ridiculous waste of spells and items.
Is it ok to do this? Have I wasted so much time and I could waste again? I've restarted games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion before but hadn't invested 40+ hrs into them before I did.

If you do want to restart here is a mod to skip the fade in circle tower:

If you are on console good luck lol.

Unfortunately, I have a habit of restarting games, and it takes me a while to finally see the ending credits. I can be a bit of a perfectionist, and if I find out that I missed something or did something wrong, then I restart.
So, don't feel so bad about starting over, as you're not the first, nor the last to do so. Hopefully with your new character, you are satisfied with your decisions and do end up slaying the archdemon. Once you do so, then you have Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt to look foward to. Saving Ferelden from the blight is just one part of your warden's epic adventure.
If you're going to use the internet to assist with your next warden, give the wiki site a visit.

Your support is welcome, thanks. Hey maybe I should start a different origin while I'm at it and get a slightly different game and some more achievements this time. You know what, I think I shall...

I'm also on xbox 360. While it sucks to not have respec mods for Origins, you can buy tomes in Awakening that do the same thing. I like to respec everyone and have fun with it.

Awakening seems ages away right now but seen as DA2 is somewhat of a letdown I don't see why I won't play if I still need a DAO fix afterwards. I've heard its got a positive reception.

I must have started a dozen playthroughs before I finally finished Origins. Without actually finishing the game, I felt like I was an expert at the game. When I finally finished a playthrough, it was a breakthrough.

I know this m.o. intimately. I'm notorious for this. Still, with this game, it's not something I look forward to, but I've done it once or twice already.

Adjusting it to easy to suit my mistakes just sounds like terrible game etiquette or something, It was all fine until a point my characters seemed too weak to keep alive in more challenging skirmishes and was becoming too reliant on health poultices.
Believe, me there is nothing shameful about overuse of health poultices. For some boss fights, even on normal, it will be very very tough to finish without going through a dozen poultices, even with a two healer set-up (which drops your dps). I definitely encourage you to play with all the extras - runes, bombs, poisons, etc. They will make a world of difference in the harder fights, and are pretty much essential if you ever try Nightmare.
