'Ello all!

I had a few questions and since i couldn't find much after google searches (most of the results were pre-DA release)...

- Is there a way to reset the "talents" (like points in Shield Mastery, Two-Handed, etc).  Of course, it's my first time playing and i can obviously create a new character...but i don't want to play through the first 12 hours of Dwarf Commoner again just because of making a few "mistakes" in the talent trees.  For example, i gave Morrigan points into her ShapeShifter tree, but it turns out that i need her as a healer more, so i have two points in the healing area because i kept running out of healing potions.  Sten looks like he would be better off slashing things to death with a large two-hander, yet i have him with a few shield points because he couldn't stay alive (which was mediated a bit by having Morrigan heal).

- I have noticed that recently, Sten just stands there holding his sword and not attacking anything, when i'm surrounded.  I tend not to micro manage my melee characters, unless i have a Rogue in the party, or i want to have one of them Shield Bash of Overpower a mob who's starting to head off towards Morrigan...but Sten doesn't do a darned thing unless i click on him and say "Look here, fella...see that thar skeleton/zombie/darkspawn/tree?  Pulverize it!".  Do i have some sort of setting wrong?  Everyone is on "Move Freely", and in fact Allistair and Morrigan have a grand old time dealing death in a fray with my Hero.  For his Tactics, i have it set like so (going from memory, not at home just yet)
Self: Any > Indominable
Self: Any > Critical Strikes (or another Sustainable Aura)
Enemy: Attacking Morrigan > Pummel Slam
Enemy: class is Mage > Pummel Slam

I have tried taking away either, or both, of the "Pummel Slam" tactics, but it had no effect.  Morrigan has her first two tactics set to heal anyone less than 25% health and then anyone less than 75% health (to put them in a prioritized list), and it works fine...so i know having two tactics that use the same spell/ability work fine.

And the last question - How can you enchant other characters gear?  I was in the party camp before Redcliff (where the castle is housing a ton of undead monsters who attack the town...it was the first time i met that dwarven trader and his "mentally disabled son").  It only offered me the chance to enchant my own blade with runes that i had.  And while i could speak with other characters in the camp, it would not let me add them to my party and so i couldn't enchant them.

Thanks all, if anyone has any answers.  This game is pretty damned good (except for the stupid Downloadable Content, which i just can't stand...let people make mods, and save yours for an expansion...grrr).:wizard:

1. Yes download the respec mod http://social.bioware.com/project/469/

2. I get the same problem of characters standing around even if they aren't on "hold" mode. I don't even bother with tactics though, I control everyone by myself.

3. You can enchant anything that has slots

For the enchanting question: Specifically, when you ask to enchant stuff and it opens up the interface, it should allow to you select and enchant any weapon with slots, equipped or otherwise.

1. What the dude above me said, GREAT mod, easy as hell to install, almost bug free at this point, and allows you to experiment all you want. I recommended this to everyone.

2. I had this problem one time only, and at the same time I was stuck in combat mode. It was pretty damn wierd, and I had to start over from a a save that was a while back, but within 20 hours of gameplay it's the only bug I've encountered. Try resetting all tactics though, maybe something is conflicting. There are also two parts of tactics people overlook, I never bother with them, so I don't even know what their called, but theres two default set-ups one in the upper left that sets up talents in a general fashion, and one in the upper right that sets the general AI. If you want your archer to stay back and shoot arrows select archer. There is an option on this that would lead your character to do nothing, so make sure it's set to default at least.
