My husband and I met through a message board. Part of what interested me in his posts was that he was into nerdy stuff. We flew back and forth between the east and west coasts for about a year, I moved to California and got my own place and we dated for another year or two before marrying, but it all started there. It can happen. Nerds in love, it's a beautiful thing. Good luck to you!

Try that new one Christian Mingle or whatever
I'd bet it's full of hopeless old tramps, blatant morons, and convicted sex offenders that've convinced themselves that they've changed their ways.
But eharmony is prolly the best of the bunch.

That said, I met one of my ex-girlfriends through World of Warcraft back in the days when level 60 was the cap.
She and I dated in real-life. We became a couple. It lasted for about 1 year before we broke up. Good old times.
PS: And YES she was an ACTUAL girl, an actually really pretty girl!

Don't give up (says the happily married and reasonably attractive gamer girl). I know at least one guy from London on BSN who met his Dutch girlfriend on here more than a year ago. And yes, she is gorgeous. In fact, a good proportion of my friends here are single, attractive female scientists.
Most Dutchies are attractive.
I'm a Dutch guy myself and if I may believe my foreign friends, we Dutch guys should be lucky with our Dutch women. Every foreigner always tells me how much prettier Dutch girls are than girls from other countries.
When I tell a forgein friend on the internet I'm Dutch most of the time I get this response: "Ohhh you Dutchies have the most beautiful girls! Lucky!"
Well, of course I get these responses more often: "Ohhh you Dutchies have legal marihuana! I bet you guys are stoned 24/7!" and,
"Heineken beer godverdomme neuken!"

That joke is sooo old and it's not even remotely true.
Sometimes I get the feeling some people REALLY believe we Dutchies in 2011 still walk on big wooden shoes. LOL!

You already got a good pep talk from others here and some advice. All I can add is the direct approach is rarely successful online, and this thread is as direct as it gets. Just make friends on here, talk to people, and see what, if anything, develops. I have seen more than a few couples meet in online communities. Most of them ended up crashing and burning, but once in awhile it works out into a lasting relationship. Just be patient.

And I think we have reached the depths of depravity, once Silvio Berlusconi has been mentioned.

Alright, this is a bit of a rant but I am tired of non-gamers' intolerance towards us.
Are there any single gaming females who are looking for a smart, educated, decent looking gamer guy?
Yes, weird, but the world is a strange place.
Of course there are, probably many.
Of course, most of them likely wouldn't trust anyone posting about it on a public forum either.
I personally married a non-gamer. He deals with non-gaming issues when gaming issues surface. It is a good match (unless the group is a healer short

What you mean is: "Ik hou van de Nederlanse taal!"
And no, the Dutch language sucks. I hate it. Our grammar is unnecessary difficult. I dare say we Dutchies have the most insane grammar on the planet.
Also, Dutch sounds rude, even when it isn't meant to be rude. Of course I as a Dutchie am used to our language, but I've heard from some English guys that our language sounds as if we're allways pissed off 24/7.
PS: This is getting off-topic.
