Debatable.

I've been off-net for most of last week. Forgive my lack of information?

I will eventually, but my heart is too broken from your previous comment for that right now. :D

Or everyone expect for Zulu and me are so narrowmindend and so stuck with their thinking that they cannot believe that Humanity isn't dependant on earth, or that they think that all Alliance Honchos are just as friendly and soft as David anderson.

Right. Hundreds of mile-long ships breaking apart and crashing back through the atmosphere totally won't wreck the planet with their debris and massive element zero cores spilling out across the Earth's surface. Massive extinctions will follow, the environment will rendered useless for agriculture, and most of the survivors of the war will die off too.

Destroying the Repears in orbit is worse than destroying them on the surface. At least on the surface the contamination from their eezo cores won't be as widespread.

Jeeze, I never even thought about any of this before. I think I need to make a new post in my "It's Impossible To Defeat The Reapers" thread. The situation is even more bleak than I thought.

Just by defeating the Reapers we are going to likely lose the Earth and humanity's place in the galaxy as a consequence.

Now I'm even more sure TIM knows this and that this is why he's aligned Cerberus with the Reapers. It truly is futile to resist. If the Reapers have broken through our lines and occupied the Earth then the war is over.

I'm not talking directly overhead in close orbit. There's a nice buffer zone where cast off materials get trapped in Earth's orbit but without making planetfall. When I started typing it I think thought about drawing them away closer towards say Charon or even a minor populated world.

For example, Saturn. It's our He3 primary fueling station for Alliance ships, therefore it's strategically important.

That's not what you've been saying at all; you've been saying that the Alliance doesn't depend on Earth, which is why we think you're a bit loose in the head.

1) Everyone who agrees with me is not narrow-minded
2) I won't reply to previous points
3) Remark about idealists

You are either trolling or you are Zulu.

How did i ever miss this thread? nit picky much? Even the Quarians are infatuated with a homeworld most of them have never been to. In many missions humans are always talking about going back to Earth, Its not like once you are out in space, like the Alliance, you suddenly cut ties to it.

Don't even compare yourself with Zulu. He's a clever guy with some well thought theories, this is not one of them. Unlike Zulu's, ALL of your arguments are ridiculous, but at least Zulu called it quits hours ago. You are not Zulu and you should quit quoting him like his words are from the codex.

Nah, you've just been really bored and laughing at how many people you can convince to think that you're an idiot.

I mean, I've PM'd with Zulu on this, and even he's laughing. Granted, he's probably not going to admit it and will deny it ever happened, but that's because he's better at maintaining a cover than you.

The problem with that is, that the Alliance Honchos really aren't goin waste their fleet above earth, they now that earth is lost, really then might be able save some of it's population and might be able to retake the planet, but really that' it.

And let's be honest, is it really possible to presve eatrh's economy while the the Reaper decimate entire cities, i really think that preservation of the current system is futtile attempt, focus on defeating the Reapers,

And when that's done just start rebuilding the galactic society again from scratch, it the day the cycle is broken, for paragons this could be the races of galaxy uniting togheter, and of renegades it could be a military coup, and something in between, ulitimatly this story should be about more then stopping the bad guys, a moment of realisation, a new begin, themes like that should  be used.

I do realise it all went a bit to far, I was just voicing my opinion about how earth and the Alliance aren't the same thing, as proven in game.

And yes, i think that earth could very well be sacrificed, and be consider 'lost' for the sake of a more interesting story.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but if i think so, what stopping people from me posting about, after all i live in country that has a freedom of speech.

Yes, you have the freedom to troll, change your story, and many other silly things. Isn't the internet great?

God bless the-

Actually, there is no freedom of speach on the internet. It's all at the patience of whoever owns the website, plus other restrictions.

Because i was serious, but really were does this all went wrong? i just wanted to point out an inconsistency, that there were no boundries between earth and the Alliance,

And yes is still think that sacrificing earth should be posibility, but that's just my opinion.

I say, and keep saying that there is a clear difference between earth and the Alliance, i didn't expect it would be such a hype, touchy subject.

It's cool that you have your own opinion, but your opinion doesn't meet facts as described in the Codex, and citing Zulu as proof isn't really proof at all now is it?

I do believe that during the war with the Reapers, eventually the Alliance will have to leave Earth (and the people on Earth) behind to better co-ordinate their attempts to retake the planet, but I think (and said as much as did others) that you were just plain wrong when you postulated that the Earth didn't matter, because simple economics prove you wrong, simple size of industry prove you wrong, simple fact is that for better or worse humanity still relies on Earth itself for most of it's products (because how could it not? We can't rely on other species for everything humanity needs (because that would lead to a trade deficit, and the gross output of the other colonies isn't enough to both supply them and the others).

Now, will this change after the Reaper invasion? Who knows, but it's irrelevant at the moment isn't it.
