The source of my quote is the ME wiki, as I said in my first post here. Or maybe you're asking a source that says the earth is a human territory?

I'm only taking quotes straight from the Codex or ingame, however codex goes above everything.

The majority of the content from the wiki is transcripted directly from the games/novels/comics or any official material, genius.

Really, they don't just make stuff?

Quite frankly I don't care about what' some guy wrote in a book or shoved into a comic, and if i needed those just to understand the lore at a basic level, then i'm afraid the games are indeed just made for people who like spamming the trigger button.

Codex or game. Preferably codex, as i can check those at any time.

You i'm just going let you live in all your pretty fanatsies, if believe the Alliance had military presecense on earth, en though you have no proof that excludes otherwise  then be my guest.

But, I have proof. The Alliance started on Earth. Not on Arcturus. They must have bases there. They also have a fleet protecting Earth. How does that one get supplied?

My doubt's are that bioware's doesn't care about lore and consistency an likes vague assumptions so that people like you could use them to your advantage.

*facepalm*

And you claim that you don't need the final product to deduce if the Alliance has bases on Earth or not.

and yet you still haven't given me solid proof if there are bases or not, an no speculating on past information isn't an awnser.

and it is you, who doesn't need the final product in order to know everything

But you acknowledge they exist? HAH! Troll fail. Slink off now. The only complaint you now have is that they don't post it in big crayon colours fifty feet high for you to get it. I got the idea from just the games and codexes waaaay before I even touched the one book on it I read that doesn't even touch on the issue (retribution). Alright Fixers, if you have trouble understanding anything else, just ask us, we're here to help.

Oh, no, you got me wrong there. I don't NEED to do that.

Hell, I don't know with certainty if they do have bases there.

There are several reasons for which the Alliance got in the position to evacuate citizens. The three most prominent ones being: A. They have bases there, B. The fleet guarding Earth sent shuttles for that specific job, C. Protocol says that the Alliance must do it since they are the sole space official force of humanity.

What you need to do is to prove that the Alliance: a) Shouldn't have bases there, B) Shouldn't be evacuating civvies.

I dunno, I've never read any of the books or comics, and I can guarantee that I have a better understanding of the MEverse than you do.

I don't have to prove anything i'm just here questioning the design choices if  they are any.

Awwww poor Fixers. PEOPLE! LEAVE HIM ALONE! He's a very 'special' boy and just because he has trouble figuring things out we shouldn't be mean to him. Lets start a charity to raise money for codex voice guy to go round his house and read the books to him so he never has to touch them and can pretend they're just big codex entries! Yay! Boxed fruit drinks for everyone! ...except you fixer, we know the straws sometimes hurt you so we have a sippy cup ready.

Questioning on what grounds? You are questioning them for NO reason.

The shuttles. Are. There.    End of story.

The why they are there is definitely not inexplicable, we just can't be absolutely sure which explanation is the actual one.

We may hear more in the actual game, we may not. It doesn't matter. It's your thread that lacks "design choices".

And yes, if the entire spaceport ends up being populated by nothing but Alliance shuttles then that means that it's an Alliance spaceport.

You have so far managed to disprove none of the major explanations. The reason that you are arguing is non-existant.

Oh i'm just going to get your 'codex voice guy' arrested for noise disturbance, and as said before i have got nothing to lose by knowing about those books and comics, but i'm not going to bother to read the myself.

I am going to question The design choices If i don't see any material that suggest a sepration between earth and the Alliance.

When I say, "The majority of the content from the wiki is transcripted directly from the games/novels/comics or any official material", that includes...the game.

Geez...

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that the Awesome button marketing team, wan't to make this game a simple as possible, thus they are going to do the most recgonizable futuristic scenario, that one organisation runs a earth all on its own.

So In the demo and trailers we can see Alliance shuttles evacuate civilians and marines combating  the Reapers.

But why?

There is ample background material in both games and other works that there is a clear seperation between, earth (Who is still a planet controlled by many nations) and the Alliance (an indepedant goverment that protects human interests outside of the sol system).

Basicly the Alliance has nothing to do with Earth security and goverment and each state on earth organises it's own defense against attacks, Maybe there is an unified 'Earth defense force'' with Spaceships and Orbital stations but it's certainly not the Alliance.

But the 'invasion' trailer clearly shows the Alliance sysmbols on news reports from different nations, even though they should be independant entities.

What?

Not sure if serious...

OP is either trolling or just not very bright....

My orginal post is bit messed up,

My point should be: It seems that the seperation between the Alliance and Earth is falling apart, i really hope keeps true to lore and make sure that we know that the Alliance is just the represenative body for humanity and that it doesn't acutally governs earth.

Shuttles being there doesn't make the Alliance running Earth on it's own. There are a million reasons as to why they should be there, and you have disproved none.

Wow this hasn't been locked yet? Also OP maybe the Alliance is evacuating civillians because it has places to evacuate them to? Like a ship, colony or space station.

I'm making my arguments with my experiance of Mass Effect 2 overall style and Mass Effect 3 marketing.

And not only shuttles, but if he can see Alliance symbols on every building in the skyline then also i'm going to question the  lore consistancy,  It would be very easy for them to blur the lines and make people believe the Alliance organises everything on earth.
