Why WOULDN'T you wake Grunt?

There isn't really an option to "study" him anyway... he just... stays there. In the pod. Not crushing things. Or blowing things up..

That.. would suck.

You can still do stuff to him, but I can't guarantee it won't hurt for you.

I remember not waking up Grunt for a while, unsure what to do or what he would do after I woke him. :P But I did, it's not bad. Might as well. I'm unsure however that if you keep him asleep or w/e that he will be there in ME3. *shrugs*

We wouldn't know, but I doubt the Alliance would have just left it on the ship.

Nope, i completed the game and he is still there in his pod, i'm thinking that the keeping him asleep option isnt very common and bioware will just forget about it and count him as dead. :crying:

If you don't wake up Grunt, he dreams of chasing bunny rabbits.

I'll be sure to find out. My Shepard is racist and doesn't like Krogan. I'll tell you what happens in ME3.

If you kept him in the pod in ME2 I doubt he'll be mentioned in ME3.

I would keep a save where Grunt isn't woke and Legion is inactive on the Normandy. That is, as a test to their attention to detail.

They should take both into consideration like how if Liara is unrecruited until last, when you keet her she thinks Shepard and co are illusions.

Nobody can give you an answer, no-one has played ME3, so how would we know and BW isn't giving out much information...there's a good chance you are just going have to wait until ME3 to get that question answered.

Bioware released some statistics last year which showed that in about 10% of playthroughs Grunt was left in the tank. For a game that sold millions of copies that's a significant number, so it's possible they will count that as a separate scenario than him dying on the collector base.

Well EDI said the pod had enough nutrients to keep him alive for several monthes. I guess wether he's still alive or dead depends on how much time passes between ME2 and ME3.

Hard to say. Same with Legion if you ship him to Cerberus (Shadow Broker logs reveals he's still active, so he doesn't just die)

The closest approximation would be if you pass up getting Wrex and Garrus in ME1 and carry that over to ME2. With Wrex is just acts like it would he's dead, but Garrus has different sets of dialogue reflecting the fact that he and Shepard barely know each other, and romancing him can't be done.

I guess it depends if either of them are tempoary or optional squadmates in 3.

This true? I didn't know that about Garrus. I knew it was possible you never recruited him in ME1 but forgot, wonder who actually did that lol.

BioWare will have something for Grunt remaining in the pod. Really, he'd be opened by the Alliance? Since Shep returns with the Normandy to Earth... he never let Cerebrus have the pod...

Legion would be more interesting, esp given his Loyalty mission which potentially can have a great effect in ME3.

He'll probably be confiscated by the Alliance and studied, poor fellow.

And you will miss out on one awesome krogan.
