Just curious..where would this movie be shown, in regular theatres (only in the USA?) or would we buy it in a store, online Bioware store, Ea Origins store? Just for information's sake. Anime isn't my cup of tea. :)

I highly doubt this movie will be a Movie Theater movie. It seems more like one of those movies that will be released and you just go buy it at a store that would sell it. Such as Wal-Mart, Target, etc.

Movie in itself looks to be quite interesting and I for one am excited for it. Anything that adds onto the Dragon Age Story is good enough for me.

Not for me.  I would rather have had the chance to play this as an evolved Dragon Age gaming experience.

It's been stated this is direct to DVD.

From What I've seen (the trailer) the anime style might be a little annoying but hopefully the style remains reminiscent of the DA universe, unlike most of the Halo Legend pieces, and some very good voice acting since its a cartoon and facial expressions and physical acting is impossible.

I'm not sure I'd classify this as anime anymore than I classified the DCU animated movies as anime. Might be in a similar style but...

@Toby: I don't know about the whole acting thing, as I've seen some great facial and physical expression come from cartoons (The DC animated Universe for example). I know that usually for animation the vocal track is laid down first, and the good studios (if they can) have their actors playing off each other in the room rather than laying down one track at a time. Hell, Mark Hamell is infamous for his expressions and acting during recording session, which is where the animators got a lot of Joker's gags. It just depends on the studio

Ahahah... I love anime. They can't come up with a Japanese term for Blood Mage? I know that chi is blood, and they must have some corresponding term for mage, since there is a strong tradition of the occult in Japan.

I remember seeing the original trailer and liking the artwork, so I'm looking forward to it on that front. I'll have to actually watch it before I know whether I like the story based around Cassandra or not. To be honest, I don't care either way about her from DA2, since she was such a minor person in the game.

Oh ****!! (sry)

This trailer looks so much better than everything we had seen so far about this movie.

I wasn't liking before, now i'm kind excited for it. Need some better quality (HD) trailers...

Feb 11 is the release? My birthday :wizard::o

I'd prefer it as a direct-to-DVD/BRD, personally.

$20 and I can watch it at home on my HDTV as many times as I want. I can pop my own Orville Redenbacher popcorn and have my own large soda that wont even cost $10 together.

Is their a release date for this movie yet? And more importantly are they going to make the movie in in english or just japanese?

In the english version, I hope they keep the voice actor for Cassandra.

Me too.

I mean FUNi has some great voice actors but give them to the characters who don't have someone already.

Wow, that's a lot of Dragons and Pride demons, huh?  I'm definitely feeling the anime part.  I kinda want to watch it in Japanese with english subtitles now.

Well if they do, she'll probably have to lighten up her tone a bit. Since Cassandra is younger in this and she speaks with what sounds like a deep voiced Russian accent

So, Dawn of the Seeker is the upcoming Dragon Age movie, following Cassandra's past. What do you guys think? Will the info in it be canon?

Making a movie out of dragon age in my opinion... is stupid. I pay for games not movies. it's just like the nonesense namco did with the new tekken movie. I definitely watched it; however, I did not pay for it    :police:

Give Cassandra a panties. Poor girl- she must be suffered in iron on naked skin.

I had to stop watching in the middle. Fits DA2 perfectly and is equally disappointing. If DA3 looks anything like this, I'll look elsewhere for my RPGs.

This is probably the most negative comment I have ever posted on the BSN, but after getting interested in the DA franchise through DA:O, it is just sad to see what it seems to become.

It's really hard keeping up much hope up for the Dragon Age franchise. And I speak as a fan of both DA and anime. This visual style stands for everything I consider wrong with the direction DA has taken, and this ugly cel shading CGI crap represents one of the worst forms of "anime" I can think of, which I'd hardly even call anime. I'm usually trying to approach things with an open mind, but everything I saw, heard and read about this project makes me want to cry.

They should have made it a CGI anime - FFVII Advent children style quality if anything. My personal tastes would have been more towards the CGI trailers Bioware pays 'X' to do...but since it's an anime...yeah they could have done that.
