The key is like Awakening. They never said they wouldn't do an expansion like something else.

For example, an expansion that really picked up where the game ended up and still included your real companions instead of a team of Pinch Hitters and continued your relationships would be nothing like Awakening.

Or more simply might mean its not boxed and sold in stores and is only available DLC style. They left themselves a lot of wiggle room in the statement.

But all wishful thinking at this point. They might just be releasing a Hangman t-shirt.

Wow all this attention for mages, i honestly would love to be an apostate, I see magic has a gift really, who wouldn't want to be a mage? If I did get captured, I would be upset but living in the circle would be intereting, knowledge of magic, the power and well being a Mage.

Maybe the shirt is about the dlc reveal thats meant to happen at PAX.

If I recall right (I've been at the DA2 panel @ gamescom as well), he said something along the lines of "we should pay attention to the t-shirts they are wearing at PAX"...

He also said, these shirts were made by a few devs, and the marketing department wasn't that happy about them..

Nope, it was the same shirt, but it seems like PAX will reveal more atleast. Also during one of the talks I think it was a big one at the main ea stage area, he said they'd be interested in doing an expansion but that'd be further down the line, so it doesn't seem ruled out as a possibility.

There was also something else... but I'll happily just sit here being a tease about it.

The dragon-riding part? That was debunked as an outtake already, wasn't it?

Either way, what I'd heard at GC was that, aside from the two popular DLC rumours (Exalted March and Starkhaven), there is something in the works that the fans haven't guessed yet. Even though some hints were revealed over the past few months.

I don't get the appeal of the arishok but then I never understood the appeal of Stern, from DA:O either...

I wasn't a huge fan of Sten, either (hehe, you said Stern), although I did find some of his dialogue to be quite hilarious. I must have given him a bad build every time, because he always got knocked out during combat. Eventually, he became a serious benchwarmer unless I wanted to hear banter between him and Morrigan.

I don't know, there's something mysterious and strangely sexy about the Arishok...I'm not sure if it's his voice, his horns, or the thought of the risk/danger of (my femHawke) pursuing someone like that.

You know, what it probably boils down to is the steamy fanfiction I read about it once. Consider this a warning; it's pretty sassy. 

But...back to the topic. I'm anxious to hear what's next for DA.
