Vague Spoilers Alert

Which character will betray or go batshat crazy in ME3? My vote is Liara. She is my number 1 LI but you can tell in ME2 that she is changing, she is no longer the sweet innocent Dr. Liara T'soni that we met in ME1. she has a dark side that shows up the Shadowbroker dlc. I think this is Biowares way of hinting at her future character arc. Now lets look at Anders in DAO he is a carefree joker who just wants to be free of the tower. In DA2 he begins showing his darkside and then at the end his shocking plan comes to light. I see a pattern between these two characters, what do you guys  think?

BTW I am in no way suggesting that Liara is working for the Reapers merely that she might have her own dark agenda.

Well slap a demon in the mix and then maybe we can talk lol. I don't think there will be an Anders, sounds like any conflict with your people will come from the choices you make. I don't think the situation in this series supports that kind of change in a character.

Liara has definitely become darker then she was in ME1. In Lair of the Shadowbroker I thought she was going to pull a Palpatine and scream. "Ultimate Powahh!"

Liara's too crazily obsessed with Shepard to betray him/her.

Maybe Miranda, Tali or the VS might do it though.

Kaidan's L2 unit will malfunction and give him disassociative identity disorder. His second personality will be hellbent on vengeance against the Alliance and humanity in general for the BAaT program and their treatment of biotics.

Well maybe I worded it wrong. i don't necessarily mean a physical betrayal. For example Anders didn't kill Hawke or try and kill Hawke. But an emotional and ideological betrayal or other radical action.

If anyone, my money is on Tali during the conflict resolution between the quarians and the geth.

Good. I mean I don't think they are even being really subtle about it, its pretty clear something is going on with Liara.

Its hard to say how it doesn't match up without any DA2 spoilers, lets just say the situation "weighed on Anders" Liara doesn't have that problem. The Reapers aren't here to change your religion and throw people in towers, they are here to kill everyone, no exceptions as far as we know. There would be no reason for Liara to just go crazy and do something, it doesn't benefit anyone, the only thing that could possibly make sense and it still wouldn't make sense.

If say she joined up with Cerberus to beat the Reapers and establish Cerberus dominance, however that partnership doesn't seem to beneficial for a non human. I would say her being less naive, more willing to get her hands dirty only indicates that she wont be fighting you the whole way in ME3, when you do morally objectionable things. Basically she's more Morrigan than Anders I would guess. She'll just be a little nicer to you than Morrigan lol.

None of them, unless you think someone can really become 'possessed' by the Reapers and do so willingly. Garrus alone might have the propensity thanks to any cybernetics he may have installed after having a rocket sandwich, but I really doubt it.

If we do have a traitor, the reveal should happen by way of a previously unseen Miranda walking in through the door and shooting them. :P

My money's on Miranda. Anyone who thinks they know what's going on in that mind of hers is sadly mistaken. She's got her own agenda, and it may not always be aligned with Shepard's goals.

My money is on Joker.

In the end of ME 1 he nearly killed Shepard. By destroying Nazarus, and sending a piece of Nazarus debri at Shepard.

And finally killing him in ME 2 beginning.

So Joker might finally kill Shepard for good in ME 3.

See the conspricy.

That would be SO AWESOME! Imagine The reapers are destroyed and Joker walks up to Shepard and says, "JUST DIE ALREADY!" And shoots shepard multiple times in the head. Cie Credots/ Ryzakis heart would be broken but it would be hilarious.  :D

Well.. the whole Anders scenario was due to his joining with Justice. When Joker and EDI merge into one body, then watch out!

She's a sneaky one that Liara. I'll be watching her extremely close in ME3.

I say Ashley. She's a bit of a fanatic when it comes to the Alliance. So I could see her turning on you, if you go against the Alliance and let Earth burn.

If not wanting 6 billion people to be killed by the Reapers not to mention the homeworld of the human race to be destroyed is a fanatic, then count me in as one.:?

If letting Earth die is needed to save the entire galaxy, then it has to be done. 1 planet isn't worth the price of several thousand planets.
