Vague Spoilers Alert
Which character will betray or go batshat crazy in ME3? My vote is Liara. She is my number 1 LI but you can tell in ME2 that she is changing, she is no longer the sweet innocent Dr. Liara T'soni that we met in ME1. she has a dark side that shows up the Shadowbroker dlc. I think this is Biowares way of hinting at her future character arc. Now lets look at Anders in DAO he is a carefree joker who just wants to be free of the tower. In DA2 he begins showing his darkside and then at the end his shocking plan comes to light. I see a pattern between these two characters, what do you guys think?
BTW I am in no way suggesting that Liara is working for the Reapers merely that she might have her own dark agenda.
I'm sorry to break this to you but if you've paid attention to the contents of the Lotsb DLC (As well as Liara's ME2 cameo) you would have noticed Liara's darker personality isn't quite what it seems. She put up some emotional barriers in order to survive in the shadowy world of information brokering, as well as trying to cope with the loss of Shepard (whom she either considered friend or lover) and Feron. Her aggression is solely aimed at the Shadow broker, and once he's out of the way, you can already see her personality is lightening again (even if it's a little)
I do not for a moment believe Liara, of all characters, would betray Shepard in ME3 and quite frankly, we don't need to. It's a safe bet some important npc will turn up indoctrinated with Shepard having to kill him/her but it doesn't need to be a squad member. Frankly, ending up indoctrinated and turning on Shepard can't really be called betrayal...
Anders didn't quite betray Hawke, well he lied about his potion but he never went straight againt Hawke, he merely had his own agenda. If Hawke didn't care about the chantry then it wasn't even a betrayal as the entire thing meant nothing. It was simply Anders' only way to force a war between the templars and mages as he knew a compromise would not help the mages at all. I certainly didn't see it as betrayal. Every character had his/her own mission in DA2, Anders' mission just had a little more consequences than others.
