This is a problem I've had since I bought the game right after its release. The game will often freeze during conversation, continuing to play music and sound, but remaining still and preventing me from taking any action. The only way past it is to restart my xbox, but that's getting tiresome, especially when I have multiple freezes within an hour. I had hoped that the title update would fix this problem, but doesn't seem to have been the case.
From what I've read, it seems like other people have had this problem, but I haven't been able to find a solution that works. I'm pretty sure that my xbox isn't the problem, because DA2 is the only game that this happens with.
Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Very weird. Might be a problem with your Disc. Have you tried downloading the game onto your xbox harddrive? That might be able to fix the problem. I remember i used to have a problem with Bioshock freezing up on me and it turned out that the disc was bad so i ended up downloading the game onto my harddrive and it worked perfectly. Maybe you should give that a try.

I haven't tried that yet, since I didn't want to have to clear out the space on my hard drive that it would require to download the game. I'll give it a shot though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Clearing space on my hard drive was painful, but I got it done. Played DA2 for a few hours, and so far no freezes. Hopefully the problem is solved for good! Thanks again for the help.

Glad it worked out! Yeah i wish i had a bigger harddrive on my xbox as well lol. My 120 is about to get filled up very soon.

Ugh, everything was going great until tonight, when I got another two freezes within a half hour. I've installed the game, I don't really know what else I can do. Am I really the only person having this problem?

So you installed the game to the HDD and you still get freezes? Have you tried clearing your system cache?

I have.
I filed a report with Bioware's game support and see if that turns anything up. Since this isn't a well-documented problem, there's probably something wrong on my end that I'm overlooking.

Maybe your 360 is just special and can't actually hold as much space worth of items it claims it can XD
