The moment I saw those pics I thought image number two would make the perfect default/boxart femshep
I do like the blonde too but in my eyes Jane, despite the lack of detail given to her game model in the first two games, will always be a redhead. If they stuck 5's hair on 2's head and coloured it red it would be awesome, but If not I can always imagine janes hair has grown out a bit and now has to be a bit more practical by tying it up in a ponytail
I can't tell from the pic, but doe she also have green eyes like the previous default jane?

#5 is the clear winner.
Blonde hair nicely rounds off the pissed-off expression against the vague nebulous blackness of space, however, those (hopefully) are not representative of most common in-game situations. So, while it might not look ideal for the poll, red haired version of #5 would not be an unreasonable demand.

I really liked the pissed-off, heavier face of #2. #6 for me is very cool because she's ambiguously multiracial, and would conform to the lore for a change.I would prefer short hair, or long hair pulled back in a sensible hairstyle, but at the same time I can see #5's hair work in a combat situation. I had hair of that length for a while, and you sort of get used to it and forget it's there a lot of times. Plus, she looks really rumpled, so it might be her hairclip got blown off in an explosion or something.
#4 also looks very badass, but please a different hairstyle >_< That is just too slick and 'fashiony'

Is it just me or does the torso on these Sheps look too dainty/petite? I dunno, perhaps it's a combination of these Shepards looking too young or not facially strong enough or battle-hardened enough in addition to having very petite builds?

I was thinking more of what awesomename said above actually. Not a barber but highschool for a couple of them
Still not complaining though! I think they are great on the most part. Obviously these are not final so tweaks im sure will be made!!

@AwesomeName, good question. I did a little test on ms paint. The head/waist ratio is almost the same as in your pic, although the new one is thinner indeed, so I compared it with ME1's femshep wearing light armor, and this time the ratio was the same. I also did a body silhouette, proportions looked normal. I think it's the shoulder pads what give that impression, as they are relatively extra-broad.

Ah, fair enough then - I guess it's just the face then that could stand to look a bit older/hardened (though that's of course subjective for everyone!).
