How is it okay for people to call the blonde unrealistic and barbie shepard, but when people say they don't want rhianna shepard thats prejudiced?
If you need someone to answer this question for you, well, that's really sad. Racism is alive and well, and blonde isn't a "race", it's a hair colour, which anyone of any race can dye their hair to (Shepard has super-dark eyebrows so is presumably dyed). I say this as a real blonde.
If people weren't being racist, they'd say "I don't want hipster hair Shepard" or "I don't want that dumb Rhianna haircut" about #4. When they say "I don't want Rhianna Shepard", there is a racial element.
I thought it was rhetorical, nevermind.

But,oh no if your hair is long tho! That’s so unrealistic! LMAO,People make no sense, and does anyone not remember in ME2 that you could update the medical room and get a scar removal machine? I used it, and made my femshep scar free
Also, just found out about this awesome song by: MiracleOfSound they made a tribute to Commander Shepard. You need to listen!

If he thinks that's a rhetorical question, he's essentially saying prejudice against blondes is as bad as prejudice against black people, which is like when some High Schooler calls his teacher a "****" for giving him detention, frankly.
EDIT - Seriously? The shorthand for the 1930s German National Socialist party is blocked by the forum? Good god.

Being prejudiced against anyone for a physical trait is equally bad. I'm jewish so is being antisemitic below or under being racist against black people in your opinion? Do you actually have a list that you keep with you that ranks whats the worst form of prejudice, I'm curious...Eurhetemec wrote...

We get it, you've got differing opinions on race.
No need to start getting into the race issue here. We already had Javi come in on page 87 telling people to stop the blonde jokes. Speaking about race issues and such didn't have to be stated or implied.
Come on guys, its a touchy subject. If its gonna be a long back and forth, why not take it to PM's instead of keeping it in the thread? Its only gonna derail it.
As for on topic stuff-
#5 is now coming up on 29K. The lead is spreading.

Safe to say it's likely over at this point. how long do you expect the voting to continue?

I do wonder how long Bioware wants to keep this around. I know they are getting alot of advertising from this poll but eventually Bioware will have to release the trailer and by that point the poll would be pointless.
I doubt they'll ever take it down. It'll just fade into obscurity. Plus, at this point its already clear who's the winner, so they could get started right now.

I'd rather hope they started a while ago. It's not like they'd need to modify the face model much, as we've long discussed (the only question being whether the faces are exactly the same or very slightly different lol! - The latter seems correct but good god it's tiny!). I personally suspect they knew which would win anyway.

#5 won decisively. At this point, I think that's unquestionable.

I mean, there's an overwhelming lead both here and on facebook, so its not like its gonna change no matter how many people want to complain about it.

Rofl the way you say it sounds kind of panicky, like you're afraid it's going to suddenly change. You can calm down. #5 won. Whether than means Trailer and in-game default FemShep will look exactly like #5 is open to debate, because BioWare never promised anything, but I'd be surprised if she was hugely different.
Though I'll laugh if we get a profile view and suddenly loads of people want to change their vote because her nose is too big or something.

It gets wider as time goes on. If anything, I'd panic if I was rooting for...#3 or #4. The others(especially #6) are nowhere close.
She's definitely look different in game, I just hope its not a bad look. If it is, Bioware's gonna have a TON of miffed people screaming down their necks on here. ahahaha

Why sound panicky? Look at the split. lawl
That's what I'm saying. When you use the words "decisively", "overwhelming" and "unquestionable" about the same thing in the space of three lines of text, you seem a bit, I dunno desperate lol.

Meh. If you guys want to talk about panicky, I'm just hoping my choice doesn't come in dead last. I'm trailing with a 10 vote margin.
I'm rooting for you brother.

Already posted and the general consensus is that although its wonderful art, it doesn't fit the ME world.
There's a whole thread for it.

I still don't get why they don't just do a redhead version of #5, like the actual Jane Shepard.
Thats why i am hoping they decide to let us edit from default Shepard on both male and female. But with the importing I am not sure how much tweaking we can do or if we can give Shepard a complete overhaul besides hair style and stuff like that. Where its assumed Shepard has looked that way since the first game in the characters eyes.

Hey, dude. "Rihanna" isn't a race either. She's a person.
A racist statement would be "I don't want black Shepard because I don't like black people."
