also, it might be hard to tell, but can anyone tell what #5's eye color is? is it blue?
Its blue. There's a high res close up of #5 in this thread, been posted a few times. You can take a good look there.

They said the voting is indefinite.
They said the voting will be up for some time, that they haven't decided when they will end it. Silverman said it's going to be atleast for a few weeks.

This link shows a fan made Female Shepard and it looks pretty awesome, oh and it has an article to go with it.
Already posted and the general consensus is that although its wonderful art,it doesn't fit the ME world.it has a massive "shoot me in the chest" advertising in her catsuit.
There's a whole thread for it.
I fixed the quote.

I find this image very fitting for this whole voting system. Amusing yet terrible at the same time

True but Jane Shepard will still be in the game at least. i honestly think Bioware would have done better by updating Jane Shep instead of this whole voting thing. would've made everyone happy. eh? who am i kidding? people would still complain anyhow. it's human nature i guess

I really don't like the choices of the females, too childish, far too young. they all look like they could be male shepards children. keep to the default female shepherd from the previous me games.
*Sigh*
Again with the too young comment? They look fine. I'm sure these women could be perfectly in their thirties and still make sense to look like they're at their twenties.
Technological Advancements + Longer Lifespan = Younger Appearence.

He's what, 32(in ME3)?
At 32, looking at for example #5(lets say she's 21)-
Sheploo got someone pregnant at the age of 11.
Even if we say the FemSheps look 18, that's still 14 for Male Shep.
Isn't that a little weird?
Maybe people should just say the new FemSheps look like Sheploo's little sisters.

I agree with you. but lets be real here. Bioware may be using the whole " longer lifespan" thing as a crutch for better marketing.
i support #5 regardless of that if it's true.

I don't see why people(not you, necessarily) look at better marketing as a bad thing.
If it makes sense in-game, it makes sense. Hell, isn't that a good thing?

Well the thruth is no one wants to see a ugly old woman as the protagonist of the game.
Young protagonist = more hits.
But still. My point is that it doesn't break the ME rules at all. I believe someone said that Kahlee Sanders is said to look younger than she is on the novels (sorry I don't have them so i can't tell

Some people who feel that the FemSheps appear too young have said that they look like they can be Sheploo's children.
Hence, math.
EDIT- Besides a spelling error now corrected, wanted to tell you to look up.

I understand the "too young" comments, but her looking that young does make sense in the Mass Effect world, what with the longer lifespan and all.
If anything Sheploo looks a bit too old for his age. Not that I would complain if they roughed up FemShep a bit, she is a soldier who is handling a lot of crap.

Wouldn't Shepard still be 29 technically? She was dead for those two years.

I don't see where someone can get 14 from though. That's INSANE. That tells me they're HIGHLY exaggerating.
If anything I can see #5 in her early twenties which is totally acceptable.
As for Sheploo looking too old, eeeeeeh not sure. I never thought of it.
I think he looks fine for his age. I can see where people think he looks older though.

I chose for number 5, but I think it would have been better if she had brown hair. I could be wrong, but I think a colour such as brown is more generic, and (while I got nothing against blond) I think a lot less people would have complained about her hair colour.
Perhaps. There's a lot of people who like the uniqueness of blonde in the ME world and there's a lot of people who'd rather have a red or black and I'd assume brown.
Would be nice to see edits of the high res in brown, black, strawberry blonde, and a bunch of other colors to get a better idea of people's desires.

The ME1 scar system was great at this and that small eyebrow scar Jane originally had conveyed a deeper meaning.

Ah ok, it all makes sense now. I thought you were saying Sheploo had a child at 11 and then he would be 14 and Femshep 18 and I was like wut? Confusing, I know.
And Idk. In comparison, I think Sheploo looks like he doesn't take care of himself. Well you know, it looks like he's at his age. It looks good, but considering that at that time people are thought to look a bit younger, it looks a bit aged.
I don't know. In one hand, he looks good, but on the other hand he is supposed to be resurected to life with surgery and stuff. Conclusion: he looks ok.
We will have too wait to see her in-game though. Making assumptions of the image cover without seeing her in-game is a bit stupid in my opinion. And I agree, saying they look 12-14 is insanely exaggerated. I think it's another excuse.

Thing is if those scars were more visible and pronounced there probably wouldn't be any mention of how old she looks. Its amazing how much a couple of facial scars can add experience and harden a character.

I miss the ME1 scars.
