Last I saw the voting it was I think 2-3 days ago, Blonde shep had 25K and the closest had 10K lol

#2: 4,791 = 7%

66,762 Votes cast


Percentage wise the figures are still almost the same as at the 60,000 mark.   Were at a point where it will take several hundred votes to change anything.  So really expect this poll to remain largely the same now since the initial surge has ended.

Its on facebook, so there's a lot of players who have no idea it exists.

Its FemShep, who isn't played by the majority of players.

And even so, there will be people who just don't care even if they ARE on facebook and DO play FemSheps.

So I'm not surprised at all.

@Killer: This isnt at all a rush job.   Originally everything was happening so fast because of the accessability of Twitter and the ease of which Bioware were replying and encouring the fans.    A lot of people (me included) believed that Bioware already had a set appearance for femshep prior to Comic Con and in fact they were going to release the trailer in time for it.     

As didymos has essentially said they have slowed everything right down and are going to spend time working on her appearance and the trailer as well.  Its still a long while before release and Bioware have decided to do it properly over a few months rather then weeks.  So to repeat diddy, we'll see the trailer in, at best, a few weeks.


Dont get me wrong im sure they have something already in mind for the trailer and I bet they already well into making it.   With everything thats going on however I think its clear they have invested a bit more into it then they originally intended.  Plus the way they have decided to "socially" market her on facebook means they will want to capitalise on anticipation.  For some people I bet the vote is the first time they heard of it!

A new bit of truth for me to dispense this time, concerning the word generic:

So, a lot of people seem to think blonde is "generic". They'd prefer something like brown or black, often.

But those are both the most common hair color in the world. The very definition of generic. And in terms of color, black is the complete absence and brown is a mixture of any random colors of no relation to each other. That doesn't mean anything for appearance, but considering them more stand out colors than blonde is kind of silly.

Lastly, generic is just used too much these days.

Also...IMO, if you study blonde Shepard's high res picture...I don't really see how anyone could have a problem with it. Get past the hair...look at the face. Something about her looks extremely detailed to me. She looks like she has a lot of character, I dunno, there's just something I can't describe. Just look at that picture again...she doesn't look too young. She looks like a fighter.

Thing is if those scars were more visible and pronounced there probably wouldn't be any mention of how old she looks. Its amazing how much a couple of facial scars can add experience and harden a character.


The ME1 scar system was great at this and that small eyebrow scar Jane originally had conveyed a deeper meaning.

I was a bit disappointed when my imported FemShep from ME1 lost her facial scars, so hoping we can add those back in.

As for BlondeShep, I hope that they do tweak her more for the high-res version and add some battle scars to her to match MaleShep (those dark eyebrows need to be a bit lighter as well).

Personally I would have liked her to stay the classic redhead with green eyes, but I guess blondeshep has grown on me. She looks better with these closeups that have been posted. The little beauty mark under her eye is a nice, subtle little touch.
