Number 5, red and brown/black.. prefer the brown/black myself

That said.. not sure why they went so far away from the default femshep model from ME1 and 2. This one looks to be in her late teens ealry 20s at the very latest. What happened to her being a battle hardened world on her shoulders mid 30s??  Compared to Sheploo with his wrinkles and scars this one is very plastic.

see.......this is the reason why I would love to be able to change superficial things like hair color on the default Shep.

I love the Blonde version, but these look great as well!!

The alternates came, one by one, each inferior. Blondie would ultimately prevail.

                                                      the end.

I'm not sure why there's so much hate for them here, I really didn't think they were that bad. I do agree that she looks too young, but as people have already said, when people can live to be 150+ it would be reasonable to think she'd look a bit younger. Maybe not quite this young, but still younger.
In any case, I actually quite liked #5. She looks even better with black hair, in my opinion, but I really don't care. As long as she gets some attention, I'm happy :) Besides, if you don't like the default look, you're always free the customize it in the actual game.

The more I look at 5 the more I wish the game would just hurry and come out. I am looking forward to having her as my femshep.

I like the original, blonde #5 the most; she has both similar facial features and hair color to me. Intelligent blonde ladies represent!

I just remembered that they may be opening up same-sex romances in ME3.

Inner Thought- "This may be why some voted for the most attractive one in their opinion. Hmm....."

I'm 99% sure Bioware confirmed same-sex romances for both male and femshep. i believe there is a thread about it here. i honestly can't remember. i drink too much.:pinched:

Might as well say it since I went to the midnight showing of Cowboys vs. Aliens(which was AWESOME).

Olivia Wilde would make a good looking Commander Shepard. Well, not ACTUALLY her, but if they got her to model for the role in game.

I really don't like the choices of the females, too childish, far too young. they all look like they could be male shepards children. keep to the default female shepherd from the previous me games.

*Sigh*

Again with the too young comment? They look fine. I'm sure these women could be perfectly in their thirties and still make sense to look like they're at their twenties.

Technological Advancements + Longer Lifespan = Younger Appearence.

That argument would hold up if she looked roughly the same age as Sheploo. However, she does not.

Looks more like Sheploo would be paid to babysit her.

Why doesn't BioWare make all these possible presets for making your FemShep's appearance in ME3? Then keep the winner as the poster material.

Works for me.

I do not think she looks too young at all.I feel the closest celebrities she looks like is Winona Ryder or Natalie Portman so I am posting pics of them with their ages to show how she is not young looking. I could find other very young looking actresses while still being ages 30+ but I used these two since they look fairly close to the new Femshep. Some people can be very  young looking and still be older.

this pic was taken 2 months ago of Portman with her being 30 years old at the time

last year this pic was taken of Ryder with her being 39 years old at the time

Also to compare since Shepard is special forces I am posting someone that was in Seals. This person Marcus Luttrell is already out of Seals at only 35. He was also part of some of the most elite divisions of Seals. So he was part of the elite of the elite while being around Portmans age or younger then Ryder.

Also with the extended lifespan humans would look younger.

Or it could be because it depends entirely on nutrition and health care of the person. Saying that MaleShep looks old is not an argument that validates FemShep has to.

Anderson looks like he's 80 and it's not that old.

Nowadays women take more care of themselves than men. There's always exceptions, of course.

I could say FemShep gets every day her dose of rejuvenating cream because although she's a soldier she likes to take care of her appearence. Use some imagination. :wizard:

The deciding fact is that it makes sense to look that young in the ME universe. That's it. Of course there's always people that look older or not it depends on how much you care of yourself.

Well, after certain years of missions, two great battles and coming back from the dead must do something to shepard. the male shepard still looks good, but "realisticly" matured (bearing in mind this is a game). the female version suddenly looks like a manga charactor and that i resent. it might be the future, but hey...i love mass effect, because the people look and feel like "normal" people within reason. don't take that away from me. that makes mass effect so attractive to us maturer persons. mass effect is unique in being human not manga.

I voted Nr. 2, but I have no problem with them using a FemShep I don't like, I never liked Sheploo either and that hasn't stopped me from enjoying the game countless times as ManShep or FemShep!

Still we don't have seen her ingame. Who knows, maybe she looks like Jane Shep from ME and ME2?

And Jane Shep doesn't look young.

To be honest complaining from the cover image seems a bit stupid. of course that's just in my opinion.

I'd love to see the face implemented in ME1, might even be enough to get me to play ME2 again if we could have it there as well.  That's saying someting coming from me... ;)

So, how will they retcon the face change this time? Shep gets plastic surgery so the Batarians wont recognize her?

Or was she transferred into a new, young, super-soldier body so she could one-hit, melee Reaper ships?

It is true that some people do age well, however, the people in those pictures no doubt had a plethora of makeup on to cultivate the younger look.

And combat ages you visibly, ask any soldier. Especially for an experienced soldier like Shepard, you can see it in the Sheploo face.

Personally, I'm fine with FemShep looking young, because quite frankly; it's not as if every other custom female Shepard out there looks to be in about the same age range --with a few exceptions.

I like new blondie Shep, its pretty much spot on the way I always imagined my femShep should have looked.  It's pretty much the sole reason I'm interested in ME3 again. :D  Once they are done modelling the new femShep they should release it so we can use it as the default in ME1/2 with Gibbed or something.
