Perhaps people age better in the future. Someone at 35 today would look way younger than someone of the same age just 70 years ago.

Besides some custom Shepards look really young too. It's not that much of a big deal for me.

Anyway, when was this going to replace default Shepard, last I heard it was just an image to feature on the back of the collectors editPion.

According to the live comic-con feed, it's the Shepard we're going to see in the Femshep trailer too, so she'll definitely be in game in some fashion, either as preset or default.

I'd be more inclined to believe that the impacts of aging are reduced in the future if we hadn't already see squad mates looking their age. A great example is Ash who is attractive but looks her age.

Not keen on any of them. I'd rather have one that looks like default 'Jane' Shep. The art styles used in those images doesn't look all that good to me :x

I went with #5, Was torn between that , 2, 4, and 6. 2 was the runner-up in my case, as she not only looks like femshep should ( i.e determined and dangerous ) , but i have a thing for red hair. I picked 5 in the end  for largely the same reasons (except hair color of course, though i still like hers) . I picked 5 overall, because i think she looks best.

As long as Shepard looks mature, which she obviously does. You can tell it in the eyes, I really don't see how not looking her age is a bad thing. Hell it's called a compliment in today's society, and it's something that we're going to be seeing a-lot more of in the future.

About the modified #6 though, Iono what it is about the haircut that makes her forehead seem ludicrously huge, but I can't shake it The eyes and nose don't sit right with me either, but to each their own I suppose.

Come on, notice how few people talk about her eyebrows? That's because dark eyebrows generally look better.

Blonde eyebrows are just unfortunate looking.

I could buy the 'people look younger in the future they age slower' idea if we didn't have shemploo as a default comparrison. He looks as you would expect a mid 30s to look, eye/forehead/laugther lines are all there. He looks 'real'.. the new femshep looks airbrushed to within an inch of her life.

And just when during all the gun fights and being dead did she get the time to get the roots done? Because there is not way that black eyebrow / bleach blonde look is natural.

You can't expect FemShep to look the same age unless she's based on the same model, and that would be the creepiest Bio-troll moment ever.

Rofl now there's a mental image I really didn't need. But I agree. Maybe people wouldn't complain so much if they'd used a model. Or maybe they'd complain about who the model was instead. <_<

Gender can make someone radically different in mindset, growth, appearance, psych, etc etc.

So don't get the idea that simply switching gender means that Male and FemShep will be the same.

So explain again how gender has made her look 15 years younger than she actually is and extremely plastic?

In the end they pick what they want to pick for the official look and everyone who doesn't like it will play custom. I just think its a shame that a mature strong female lead character has been hit with the 'make them young blonde and pretty' stick.

Honestly never understood why they did not just use Jennifer Hale's face and be done with it. I understand it's the last episode of the trilogy, but it would/could have still worked (and would have been one hell of a send off from the series).

Look into her eyes, search your feelings. You know it to be true...

I'd prefer an aged version of 6 but I think they should have left the decision to Jennifer Hale. After all she is Femshep and she does an excellent job. She would have deserved it.

I always wondered why the didn't use Hale as Femshep's face model from the beginning but maybe she was against it.
