I've voted for 3 as think it looks best of the bunch though I'll never use default FemShep just as I won't ever use Sheploo because I prefer making my own Sheps like Eiko pictured below...

Well, I'm honestly surprised number 5 is the most popular one. Especialy after all that rage and whining that happened after Ashley's new hairstyle was shown.

With that said, I like this design very much.

None of the above. Because Femshep wasn't really given an official face, my version of femshep is the only face i see when I hear Jennifer Hale's voice. (same with the MaleShep. Cannot picture any other face with the voice, than the default face).

but the closest one that looks like my femshep is Shepard #3.

@ all those wild speculations, i think those pics are concept art to determine the looks in the femshep trailer, not the game itself.

i really hope said trailer will not simply be the "Big Ben" trailer with femshep at the end...looking at that artwork one could get that idea.

I can't understand it either, but at the end of the day if people WANT a red haired femshep then vote for that femshep.  Stop voting for the blonde one and making a comment like "this one with red hair".  If people want a blonde haired femshep then that is great.  If people had voted for the red head I wouldn't have liked it but I would have at least accepted it rather than going "this one but with blonde hair".

I really am finding it hard not to facepalm with all the 'blondes are cliche' comments. Really? If anything I would say redheads are far more 'cliche' these days.

Those anti blonde votes are simply the effect of many many many people playing a brunette or black haried femshep with long hair. And as that option is not specifically provided all we can do is say style No.5 in black/red....

Yay for diversity.

Well i agree, theyre both cliché. Still blonde is the more wide spread one.

To elaborate on this, since Mass Effect plays at least 2-3 generations in the future, the human race will have merged considerably and natural blondes or redheads will have become a rare sight. And femshep doesnt dye her hair. Period.
So black or brown is prolly the most "realistic" color.

They would be far better voting for the red head and making a comment in the red heads pic along the lines of "with hairstyle 5" rather than voting for the blonde and trying to devalue those that have voted for femshep.

... all I have to say is wow. Almost brings a tear to my eye to see Femshep breaking into the marketing is not just a pipe dream. Moving on, definitely #5 for me. Could be because I recently made a blonde Soldier who I adore and am partial to longer hair on women in general. Funny, I never use to fancy blondes but they are coming around as of late.

Mentioning that 4 looks like Beyonce is insulting considering that she doesn't look like her.  I could make a sarcastic comment about how we all look alike, but I won't do that. <_<

How is it cliche?  Cliche compared to all the other cliche Mass Effect characters?  Isnt there a big thread of "cliche" Vega at the moment.    Seems like assumptions are being made on looks with little basis.  We already know Shepards character after all.


Additionally there arnt any Blondes in Mass Effect really so I can see why its a popular choice.  Plus her hairstyle is really rather special to what we have seen previously in Mass Effect.

Personally I don't think people without a finished FemShep playthrough should be allowed to vote on this, and that BW did the main poll on Facebook is just insulting, but such is life!

I'm just really sad that none of them look remotely like the "real" default FemShep, who is tough-looking and seems Soldier-y. Instead they all look like variations on Winona Ryder (hot but not tough, sorry - unlike Sigourney Weaver, say) with waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much eye-make up and trying to give out an attitude. That three of them have ridiculous hair-dos doesn't help.

EDIT - I think the blonde is winning solely because her haircut is by far the most mainstream, and she's not black. Yeah, sorry I think most people are a little racist about this. People are voting like it's beauty contest, not like it's a "Who looks like FemShep sounds?" contest. Maybe at the Facebook poll they should have had people listen to a voice sample then vote for the most appropriate face.

Femshep still is representative of everyone because everyone has the option to play her. Regardless of age and gender or even the amount of plays with her.

Facebook is the best medium still to get a wide selection of opinions because of this. People who vote there clearly know and care about Mass Effect so its the existing fans that are voting rather then new ones.


Sad to see Jane disappear though.   I thought with what was said on Twitter things would have played out differenty.  Especailly with Red haired, green eyed femshep being a very popular choice
