To me, it was obvious just from looking at the candidates that the largely male dominated fandom were going to vote overwhelmingly in favour of the most generically hot character. I think it might have been more interesting if only girls were allowed to vote. Not that it really matters because you can customize Shep to look however you want.

Moving on, do you realize people vote the one they like most? And well to some degree the poll was made to vote the most prettier (not hot) Shepard in your opinion.

I don't disagree with that. I'm just saying if you voted for #5 you voted for how she looks totally. Including the hair.

And if it's the one that wons (which seems pretty likely), it will be blonde, not redheaded.

Wheter of not they let players customize it later I don't know. It would be cool but seeing as we can't modify Sheploo, I wouldn't count too much on it.

I'm just arguing the other side....  I voted for number 4 anyway, so it doesn't matter. lmao

The reason we couldn't modify Sheploo is just that.... he had a face model. They didn't use a face model for this Shep did they? *is curious*

It is a pretty decent read and kinda rips poor old Kim Richards apart.

To be fair that PC Gamer article rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.  Its was heavily biased on the authors opinion. Which was clearly over emotional.

Anyway aside from it being easy to tear the PC Gamer review apart it should open peoples eyes how similar each of them really are.

I don't hate the blond FemShep but it's damage than both Shepard and Kalhee Sanders are the same hair color.

On the ME wiki : "Kahlee [...] most notable feature is shoulder-length naturally blonde hair, which, as a genetically recessive trait, has become a rarity by the 2100s."

Of course it's possible than the two most famous woman are blond... but, well.

At the same time, some guys play as FemSheps as well so IMO they have some right to say what the default one should look like. If there was a poll for Sheploo, girls would surely feel that it is unfair if only guys could vote.

Yep and not to mention the fact everyone that buys the CE version will be "affected" by what Femshep looks like since she will appear on the boxart.  So it is only fair that EVERYONE that likes ME has a say in what FemShep will look like.

I want all Mass Effect fans to vote whether they play FemShep or not, hell it might even encourage some to give FemShep a go.

I don't know, I don't even like blonds, but thought the face and blond hair/hairdo of #5 went very well together. I *wanted* to vote for someone other than the blond Shep, but she simply looked the best. (mind you, My Shep is a brunette, but she also has a very different face)

I don't know about you guys, but No5 is the only one that kinda actually resembles femShep in my mind - it doesn't have to do anything with blond hair, it0s just her facial structure - No5 is the one.

I voted for 5 because she looks the most like my Shep and I like her hairstyle. The color had nothing to do with it, I prefer red. I have no problem with default being blonde but don't assume people who voted for 5 voted for the complete package. I'm pretty sure it's the hairstyle that attracted voters for the most part.

I don't think anyone here is assuming that people voted No.5 for the complete package.  I voted for No.5 because I want Shepard to be blonde and that was the only femshep that fitted that criteria.  If I am honest I am not a big fan of the hair style (too long and too messy in my books).  I really cannot stand that mole/beauty mark/zit under her left eye and I really do not like the black eyebrows either.

We just have to accept these are the 6 femsheps being offered up and whichever one wins will be the public face of femshep.  At least we were allowed to give some limited feed back towards our femshep which is better than nothing.  Sure a full voting style were we get to decide hair colour, hair style, eye colour, nose, mouth etc etc would have been fantastic but I imagine they want to get ME 3 out the door some time this side of the 21st century.

I think it was implied that the original default femShep would be the preset for the CC.

You know it IS possible to have dark eyebrows and light hair. I've several friends who's eyebrows are dark brown and their hair is naturally blonde.
