I got Harley Quinn vibes from this. A little bit.
Nothing wrong with that. After all, Harley was bad ass too.

Course, but I just don't see Shepard as the Harley Quinn type.
Especially don't see Shepard with having the time to put on the make up required to look like Ms. Quinzel.
Eyeliner sure. Anything else is too much for my taste.

and give her more tanned skin and the tan lip color choice (I believe it's the second choice in the CC)?

FemShep Dos: Auburn hair, stern gaze, porcelain skin...Not exactly intimidating, but I find her a bit more aesthetically pleasing than the others (don't get me wrong, they are all various incarnations of the ideals of modern female perfection). Yet, she did not catch my eye. Not at first, leastways. No, that honor goes to...
FemShep Cinco: On a purely superficial level, she bears some resemblance to Samus Aran of Metroid. While clearly attractive on a physical level, she also manages to be intimidating. I think it's the wild hair. One could get lost in that mane for a good week.
Thus, I sit here in the comfort of my most squeaky computer chair, pondering my current conundrum.
Voting for five almost seems like voting for another established sci-fi series heroine.
Voting for two seems like a hopeless venture.
DAMN YOU, BIOWARE!

I'm liking the blonde one a lot, but I would like to see if a photoshopper make her look a tad older/more weathered. Can anyone oblige?
What I mean is, keep her facial structure, hair, hair colour, etc., but see if it's possible to make her look a bit older/hardened.
I mean here's Sheploo:
Anyone here who thinks they could apply the same kind of grit to Number 5's face?
Not the same, just some of it.
I agree that Shepard's complexion/age could look a bit older/hardened, but not too much. Why would she look "old" when she's only 30ish, lives in a world where genetic therapy and medical advances allow people to live 150+ years and is technically a two/three year old, since she was rebuilt from scratch as even more of a supersoldier during the Lazarus Project? I favour mostly, if only, a more hardened Femshep. Again, it just doesn't make sense that Shepard would look 33-45 by today's standards (same goes for Sheploo, but that train left the building a while ago).
That photo edit of Femshep 5's complexion is great and matches Sheploo in detail. The original is concept art, so hopefully we get something like photo 2 of femshep 5 in game, which seems to be the obvious winner atm.
As a side note, it seems a lot of people have problems with blondes (stereotyping anyone?). Firstly, just because some of us have a problem with blondes being intelligent, successful or skilled, or by many choosing Femshep 5 somehow shows how "sexist" society is against non-blondes, isn't the point. The point is that Bioware asked people to pick the Femshep version they liked best and it happens to be 5. Many also like 5 regardless of her hair colour. Secondly, I think we can count the NPCs in Mass Effect on our hands who are blonde in game. If anything, they're underrepresented in the Mass Effect universe.

Well you know, renegade femShep has to make time to look her most sinister best before she hurls people through the air with the power of her mind.

If only it were possible to change her hair color, I'm starting to think this is EXACTLY what I'd do no questions asked.
Before I thought I might consider the others, but the more I look at it, the better it is.

This is absolutely disappointing.
Not only do ALL the choices look like 17 years old supermodels, and NOT experienced marines, like FemShep is, but it is absolutely degrading and just sad that the appearance of FemShep is put to the vote.
Here I thought things were looking up when it was announced that FemShep would get an own trailer and would be on the boxart...but apparently Femshep will not finally be acknowledged as an equal counterpart to MaleShep, but is thrown to the mercy of the fans and degraded to a stupid beautycontest to determine who is the "hottest spacebabe".
Seriously Bioware? You let the people decide who declared Jack too ugly? Ashley too manly? The people who create mods to show more cleavage on the female characters? The people who altered Miranda's face because it wasn't pretty enough for them?
Is that really the direction you want ot take? Why can't you design an equal to MaleShep? A seasoned, experienced female Soldier and present to us YOUR design, and then STAND TO IT.
Let the haters rant, but PLEASE don't stoop down to this levela and don't make FemShep a friggin Fanservice for those who want to look at a hot woman when playing the game.
This.
I wouldn't mind so much if they let the fans decide what the male Shepard should look like in ME3, too. That wouldn't make it less stupid but at least equal.
Or how about Vega? Personally I don't find either of them attractive. But I never much cared for Sheploo since my canon Shep is female anyway. Plus I can't romance myself (=Shep), so what does it matter? As long as he's not an eye-sore, it's fine.
Also I understand that since most men play Sheploo he better not look like Kaidan but tough and a little mean.
Vega on the other hand is very likely going to be a romance option. So I actually do mind what he looks like. Because, yes, attractive characters sell better. No denying that.
We're all superficial to some extent. BUT these femShep design are just a bit too much. They are better fits for an anime style RPG than a realistic looking game such as ME.
That's what disappoints me the most.

I don't think anyone has said that. However, people have disagreed on what is a good-looking woman, which is fairly common. Also, by now Shepard is supposed to be in her early thirties. These models are not, which is the main problem to a lot of people. Thirty-something woman can easily be attractive, but the way to make her look attractive is not to cut ten years off her age.Dragoonlordz wrote...
I find it funny how people assume great looking women can't fight or they are inferior in any way. That an attractive woman can't possibly fire a gun or fire it accuratley or that she could not ever be someone with charisma enough to lead a team into battle. Being attractive actually has more of positive influence of forming groups and peoples following, being good looking physically has no affect on ones ability to fight.
Also this.
Let cover femShep look good. But let her look like a real person, too. A mature real person.
I modeled my canon Shep to be pretty in a normal sort of way. The way an actual person might look like (except for the purple eyes *g*).
Then again I'm a woman myself and don't need my femShep to look like a porn star to spice up the game.

I want to see a darker skinned Shepard 5 with the dark hair to compart.... but you guys are right. I think I may have found the one I like most too. I love this one! And NONE of my FemSheps have ever been strawberry blonde/red heads before!

This one just looks so...right.
Like THIS IS IT.
Unless someone creates a better custom Shepard that I decide to copy, I think I'm going to use this as an inspiration for a custom Shepard in ME3.
