I don't know where the Shepard #5 hate comes from, I like her after all (and I'm not ashamed to say it), as much as the 14.000 + people that voted for her.

As I said earlier, I wouldn't mind if they had put her hair red or black or brown, I would still have voted for her. Is the one I like more.

I just get the feeling that you hate her because it's blonde. Seriously, it doesn't matter, If you don't like the color of her hair, when you play ME3 you just change it and that is all.

If the stereotype exists purely on looks and is applied to a character that is anything but a bimbo, I will get offended. This is FemShep. People play a blonde FemShep. People play a FemShep with hair in her face and blue eyes and pouty lips and sometimes outrageous hot pink lipstick. It doesn't change who she is. FemShep will never be a bimbo.

They hate her because it's not the model they prefer. The blonde bimbo jokes and snipes are just a way for them to cope with their butthurt. It'll pass. At least we'll get a decent FemShep to match Sheploo now.

They hate her because it's not the model they prefer. The blonde bimbo jokes and snipes are just a way for them to cope with their butthurt. It'll pass. At least we'll get a decent FemShep to match Sheploo now.

They should at least have the courtesy to fill out the butthurt form before making those snarky quips.

All of the default Sheps and Hawkes were unable to be tweaked.... that's why people hate on the blonde. They don't want it to be a fixed default they can't tweak. I'm also in that camp. Blonde FemShep, to me, does not compute. She is raven-haired and tanned. OR if I can have that strawberry blonde version... she's that. lol

No, but "canon" femShep will looks like one... And it's not any individual feature that is cliche blond bimbo, it all of them put together in one image.

 I was rooting for four and six mostly for diversity reasons.  I thought that perhaps an ethnically ambiguous main female character might make for an interesting statement though honestly I'm just happy that FemShep is finally getting some nice press. (some of the racist comments on Facebook were really gross though  )  Blonde, brunette, red hair- they're all the same to me and I have no hate for any of them.  They all are fine, really.

The FemShep I custom created is my canon Shep and in the end that's what matters most to me.

I really love the blonde hairstyle with black hair. I am torn overall though. I would still like to see a blonde in the ME universe, but not as default FemShep to be exact..

I disagree that it's not any individual feature. Some people are taking that 'bimbo' and photoshopping the hair red and saying she's no longer a 'bimbo'.  What's that about?

I think people are looking a gift horse in the mouth. We're getting a new hi-res FemShep along with the original default redheaded FemShep and character creator to make our own FemShep. This is a bonus. I wouldn't have picked the blonde if I got to choose from all five, but I'm just happy to get anything with FemShep after 7 years of looking at Sheploo.
