All of them will end up as presets anyway. Only difference is this one;

Will be the first one on the slider.

Another interesting note is that people seams to believe that the one that "wins" would be the final version. It isn't stated anywhere officially as fare as I have seen. Bioware is asking for opinions, not the final choice - the final decision is still in their hands. Going with the most popular version is not always the best decision in the end, so I wouldn't assume that he are getting 5th Shep exactly as we see her until I actually see her officially confirmed.

And if Bioware reads these forums they will likely see that about 75% of the posters here like #5. just not the blonde hair color. what's to stop them from changing that later? that would get rid of a lot of the "Blonde hate" comments. anything is possible at this point. ^_^

There are so many beautiful hairdos for women, yet BW picked some of the ugliest

Shep's in the military. Hairstyles aren't supposed to be pretty, they're supposed to make sure the hair doesn't get in the way.

It wouldn't surprise me. Bioware has given in to the vocal minority before.

Whatever. You girls and fanbois can fight and argure over which high school girl you think is cuter as if this was some Miss America pagent or some fluffy thing like that.  I'm just going to wait for the trailer and when it comes out, I'm going to enjoy it either way because I'm just going to imagine Sheploo instead. This little "FemShep brawl contest flick" has just lost any good image I had for FemShep.

While were at it, why not install a cute little saloon on the Normandy? aww.

You want her in charge of the Normandy?

*cough* Shepard doesn't pilot the Normandy, but nice try.;)

Not sure if I should laugh my head off or facepalm. rofl? :huh:..........

........hahaa !! ;) That made my day. This is actually rather redunk.

I am as serious as ever. This little fluff contest is just.....killmenaoplz. I doubt I'll ever touch a FemShep ever again. T_______________T

Glad you get my point.

Maybe,  but I doubt they will change it to be honest.   The 15,000 votes on facebook speak more then a couple of dozen vocal people on BSN.

..Was in the military... Keyword 'was'. The military that didn't believe him/her, the one that left him or her for dead. Sorry but femshep doesn't need to follow earth rules on hairstyles anymore. Was part of Cerberus for while (non military rules), being a Spectre (above military rules). Sorry but she is in military aspect doesn't tie up imho or lemme guess you think same rules should apply to Miranda? Should she have a skinhead style too?

I'm worth 10,000 extra hidden votes that will be tallied at the end.

Apparently, hairstyle is very important when you go fighting. I mean, what would the enemy say if you have a bad haircut? They'd just point fingers and laugh at you.

Shepard will still follow the rules ingrained by the Alliance.

Its how the military works. They DRIVE it into you.

Shepard's only in charge where they Normandy goes, not how Joker/EDI pilot the ship, but again, nice try.;)

Um the most popular when both consisting of the Bioware fanbase polls here and the general population who aren't on here via facebook as a more varied state of opinion.. Is the best decision... By siding with a minority opposed to the majority you end up upsetting the majority rather than the minority.

I'm also pretty sure it will take place given if turned around and said pick the one want to see in game and turn around and say "haha just kidding", the 15,000+ people aren't going to be happy they took part in something was asked to do then ignored.

Speaking as designer - no it is not.
When voting people tend to pick the "familiar" option - something they are used to, seen before. It's the way our brain works. But the thing is - the same crowd will be booing at you for being boring the next day if you actually go with their choice.
If one wants to actually get a good idea of what to do than "the first" and "the last" are the wrong choices. A good one will be taking the "second choice" and adding the details form the other ones that was noted by fans as bing "interesting", and making sure that the result is unique enough to be instantly recognizable by some noticeable features.
I'm  not saying that it's what Bioware will do, but it is the approach a lot of designers in business would take.

In the end it doesn't matter what excuses people come up with as to why others should be denied their choice to matter, people want what they want and given the vast majority I think they should get it which just so happens to be number 5.

Now that I think about it, I think this is only to decide who will be in the Femshep trailer. If these are all presets then I don't care who wins.

Except Ashley's hair isn't in her face. It just looked that way from a specific angle, in another shot we could see clearly that it wasn't the case.

If anything that works both ways. Viewing her from the side makes it look like it isn't in her face, but then the other angle shows it right in her face.

Yeah, I'm with the "I like 5, but change her haircolour!" crew. I can think of another space-faring blonde babe already in videogaming...can't say the same thing for a redhead.

Juhani from KotOR1, Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark, Sarah Morrison from Tabula Rasa and Mira from KotOR2. Non-space-faring redheads include Kasumi (the lead Dead or Alive girl), Blood Rayne, Aveline, Leliana and Nariko from Heavenly Sword. Non-gaming redheads include 90% of the girls from Marvel Comics, Batgirl, Poison Ivy and Red Sonja.

Whereas the only 'action blondes' I can think of off-hand are Supergirl, Emma Frost, Samus Aran and Princess Zelda. Very few blondes are action girls. Redheads are inherently strong and independent, but blondes are superficial, vain and often in need of rescuing. This is why I'm more for a blonde FemShep than a redhead.

... But I'd still rather have a minority FemShep.

EDIT: Forgot two obvious BioWare redheads. lol

Not really. Directly in front of her there are no obstructions, she can see clearly.

From a far side angle, it looks like its over her eye.

What this means is she has a clear field of view, but to someone seeing her from another point of view, she doesn't.

Hell, my hair is working like that right now. I can see everything clearly, but someone to either side of me will think I can't see left or right.

Hairstyle of #5 matches the ME1/2 default best, even though it's casual styled.
And although they reworked her facial structure the Winona Ryder thing's just... smoking! It's amazing.
I'll take 5, but only as a Redhead please!
