No. It was a transparently false claim. I was just playing it up a bit.

Also this hair style IS the same one in the previous ones. It's not longer, she's looking slightly down and the collar on her armor is pretty high as you can see when she's not wearing it giving the appearance that it is. Her hair is dishelved looking of course for that war torn look, she's not going to look prim and proper saving people you know...

I had the same problem until I started to see things differently.
Male Shepard is me and nothing else.
I had difficuly envisioning myself playing a female character (since I'm a guy) so I switched around the perspective.
FemShep would be more of her own character and I see myself as the omnipotent bystander that leads her towards the right direction.I'm the author writing FemShep's journey, deciding the decision and choices she makes while also feeling for her as she struggles to save humanity while trying to find the acceptance of the man that turned his back on her in ME2. For some reason, I'm currently more attached to her than to my own male Shepard.because I feel like she's the type of person I'll love to meet while it's strange to think of my canon Shepard that way since he is me. It's the same feel you get when you're reading a good book and you're rooting for the hero. You're not part of it but you feel extremely attached for that character to succeed.
Heh.. hope that makes an ounce of sense.

It's mostly women who play female Shepard, so it's nice that Bioware remembered their fanbase is overwhelmingly male and market test on a room of ladies for this. Instead of, you know, the entire internet and a ton of dude fans that'll be voting for the femShep they'd most like to bang, but never actually use in game... Oh wait.

I'm female and only play femshep and I voted for no. 5.
edit: plus, plenty of guys play as femshep at some stage, and it's on the CE box which lots will get.

This is actually one of the main reasons I prefer playing female characters in RPGs, despite being male. It enables me to distance myself somewhat from the character and appreciate them as characters in a story rather than avatars of my self. This is especially true with voiced protangonists, since I already feel significantly like they're their own people.
In other news, I really like the edited no.5 a few posts up.
So you checked every single post on the topic then did research to find out if they were female or not to know this? Let me guess you saw one post with someone claiming to be a female saying no #5 and went OMGZ every female hates the blonde one.makalathbonagin wrote...

Wow. Some of the girls on facebook are using the argument that only girls should vote in this poll.
It's sorta moot now anyway. The voting period closed hours and hours ago. #5 won.
well ...atleast i won't waste my money on this ****, no femshep for me
Don't really understand what your point is. My own is that it's reasonable to say that femShep is finally getting a default face because of the female fanbase. As such, because the majority of femShep players are female shouldn't the female fanbase have the say? Besides, maybe you should take a look at the typical and most commonly found reasoning behind the hetero boys' choices. Usually always comes down to "she's hot."Em23 wrote...

OK, for the sake of argument, let's just say that's how it should be. Great: how the hell would you implement this? You have to email in a scan of your driver's license or birth certificate or whatever before you're certified as officially female and allowed to vote? Just have an easily circumvented "Male/Female" checkbox on a voting page? The notion is utterly impractical, even if you think it's a good idea in principle.
Female Shepard always had a default face. If you didn't like it that's your problem.stop_him wrote...
