Are you honestly saying that the percentage of players who use femShep are 50% (male) / 50% female? I don't think so.

I think Bioware is aware of their female fans and throws them a bone once in while. Unless you're saying that the whole Garrus romance was for mainly for their male players.

Don't really understand what your point is. My own is that it's reasonable to say that femShep is finally getting a default face because of the female fanbase. As such, because the majority of femShep players are female shouldn't the female fanbase have the say? Besides, maybe you should take a look at the typical and most commonly found reasoning behind the hetero boys' choices. Usually always comes down to "she's hot."

If the masses want BarbieShep, however, then that's what they'll get. Doesn't really affect me now that maleShep is finally out of the closet.

It's a picture. You can't judge them in any deep or meaningful way. They're all hot - 5 just had the best hair style imo...
Their faces are practically the same, but because this one is blonde she's "BarbieShep"?

There are plenty of guys who play as femshep, and plenty who will buy the CE, so I don't see why they should be excluded from voting (as impossible as that would be to implement in any case) and who's to say most women didn't vote for 5 anyway?

Yep and there are just as many comments in there where people specifically stated that they voted because of the blonde hair.  I am all for people disagreeing but come on saying "oh they only voted because of the hair style" is way off the mark.  I mean if "red haired" shep is such a great idea why is she second to last ?  It isn't like you are restricted to just one vote, you can easily vote for both redshep and blonde shep if you want.

Femshep is available to play by everyone regardless of gender, age or even the amount of plays you have done. Therefore everyone has a say in how their protagonist can look.


Its something I feel some people are blowing out of proportion.  Your not forced to play Sheploo and hes the Bioware primary brand image.   Im sure most people will still use the CC in ME3 or an import.   We all know Shepards character anyway and know the Blonde stigma certainly isnt true.  I have two Blonde femsheps that are just as capible as any other Shepard out there.

I really like #1, I don't particularly like #5 because of the hairstyle (not the colour) but I would rather she won over #4. However something I have noticed is a lotta people on facebook voting for #5 and saying I would love this but with black/brown/red hair, in the game you won't be able to change the hair, it'll be like Sheploo.
