The thing people are complaining about is hair color? That is just silly. If there is anything to complain about it is the fact that she looks like she is 21...when Shepard is at least 30.

I'm sure people around ~2185 will look like 20 when they are on their 40's. That along with the subsequent advances in technology that will improve the quality of life, be sure that people will at least have a lifespan of more than 150 years and look younger.=]

I'm a tad confused here.

People say that certain things aren't realistic/accurate (like her age, for example) and yet we're suggesting the idea of purple eyes? How many people do you know with purple eyes? I know of one in the entire history of ever.

They didn't announce a winner yet. They said they havent' announced a definite end date yet but it will be up for at least a couple weeks. David Silverman said that around the 10 minute mark of the Fan ARt Live Sun July 24.

For me, it's a lore based thing - my Shep has purple eyes in ME1, since that option was available, and I always justified it as being rare side-effect of eezo exposure in utero.  Btw, while others may think her age is not realistic, I actually think it is; the only reason I've suggested aging her *slightly* is because it would be more consistent with how they've portrayed everyone else in the game - basically everyone in the game is indeed meant to look much younger than they actually are, according to the books, but unfortunately they didn't reflect this in the actual game for pretty much any human character we roughly know the age of.

Also, I wasn't suggesting they make more than one person's eyes purple.  If one person out there really has had purple eyes, than I don't see how one more person with purple eyes is unrealistic; suggesting they make several purple eyed people without a lore-based explanation would certainly be odd, though.

Yep voting is still going on so I don't know why people are now saying it has been closed.  David was just giving people an update on how the voting was going yesterday on Biowarepulse.

As to some going "only women should be allowed to vote", erm no just NO.  The femshep default face is something that affects ALL Mass Effect fans especially if you buy the CE version since she will be on the cover.  As a man (who plays as a femshep) I think I should have a say in what femshep should look like, just because I pee standing up doesn';t invalidate my opinion.

Number 5 reminds me somewhat of Milla Jovovich pulled out of Resident Evil, perhaps throw in some "way to young to be in the army, navy, whatever"
Number 4 looks like someone with experience, maybe except the hair in front of eyes but meh.

Guess people want their fantasies :)

I came into the livestream late, and missed the part (which I just saw) where he said voting is ongoing indefinitely.  W/o seeing that, it sounded like they were announcing the winner yesterday.

Yeah but femshep is a 30 year old that has been through A LOT, she should look a bit older.
The only thing that is bugging me about everyone voting for blondie shep is a lot of them are saying, ooh this but with red/black/brown hair ¬_¬
