Yes, boys liking the more "wasp-waist-y" one better at the expense of neutrality is to be expected. I'm not saying you should like the other one, I'm just being informative here.

Anyway, this is Sheploo with Jane's proportions.

Not that I haven't seen guys exactly like that at the gym...

You've seen them in ME2, as well. Helloooooo Jacob!

Just saw closeup of 3rd. Dear lord, that face (not hair) is exactly what my Sentinel is supposed to look like.

We'll get too 100 pages hopefully.

That is, if this doesn't get closed because race topics keep being brought into it, along with "blondes are hurr durr" jokes.

You guys do realize that everyone of those new femsheps share the same face model? The only difference is the nose in one or two of them (skin tone and eye makeup to complete the illusion).
This is question of what hairstyle and color you like.

You're wrong. The close-ups look different.

The skin tone if different, the lips are different, the hair is different, the shape of the nose it's different, the eye color is different...pretty much everything is different except that the facial structure is pretty much the same on all of them.

Wow, you just verified what I said.  Your statement is exactly what I said.
The face model is exactly the same for all of them.  Two of them have a turned up nose, the rest have different hairstyle, hair color, skin tone and make-up.
I am confused on what you think I am wrong about.

On a separate note:  I was hoping for more of a change (or something like ME1) for the female body structure.  The pictures posted have male Shep's body with breasts.  I know I will get flamed for this, but there is a difference in proportions between male and female bodies, facts are facts...

Option 5 by a mile.

Though saying that the faces on all the option are remarkably samey. Which kinda makes the poll choose Shepard's hairstyle and tan/no tan rather than her entire look on the box.

I'll again throw focus on the jawlines and cheekbones. Although I'll admit the first two or three are similar, they aren't all the same.

I have to disagree.  An interesting thing to do would be to ask a dev if the overall facial structure is the same for all of the proposals.
I really doubt that they modeled 6 different heads for these samples.  Much easier to change textures and hairstyles.

Where's the black femshep?

#4

That trick ain't black....I see blondes finally got to represent but Seriously why does every shepard have to be some type of mixed white.....

As a black guy with a black extended family of over sixty cousins, aunts and uncles...yes she is black.

I don't see how being black allows you to tell if someone is black. But that woman is not black. And If she "is" then that's a really cheap. Why be afraid to have her darker?

A: why does she need to be darker? That doesn't make her more "black."

B: lore-wise, like someone mentioned above, unless segregation is widespread in one hundred years, I'm doubting that she only has blacks in her heritage. It would be dumb if she did, anyway.

Yet they have pale  as hell white....hmmm. I'm just trying to make this clear.

I chose 1 because she actually looks like a soldier, all the rest look too much like supermodels.

They have all pretty much (the way I see it atleast) the same facial structure, but the nose (shape and height), hair style, skin tone, eye color, lips and makeup is different in all of them. So that still makes them diferent.

For example #6 and #5 look quite the same but different skin tone, hair style, and nose (and eyecolor).

EDIT: 1 and 2 look the same except different hair and makeup. Lips, nose and everything else is the same.

The only one I think looks like a supermodel is #4. For that same reason, I didn't vote for her.

Same here, but I do think 2 and 3 look like soldiers and the rest don't look anything like soldiers

gah, couldn't you just get Jennifer Hale in and make HER the face model? then just have her with No. 5 haircut in brown and then have her put on something like No.3 in combat? this could appeal to people that like both styles AND show off the fact that when on the normandy you can change certain comsetic things like hairstyle and makeup now.

#1-3 all look the same to me. #4 and #5 are the only real stand outs IMHO. I also think about Jennifer Hale's voice and for whatever reason it just fits #5 for me. So yeah, I voted #5.
That said I'd be happy with #4, and certainly much happier than the default femshep we're given in ME1 and ME2.
I would love face codes (ME2) or sliders (ME1) for #4 & #5.

Something so specific would likely appeal to a select few.

I'm honestly not seeing it, LPPrince. Maybe I'm blind today or something, but I'm an ex-art-student who specialized in portraits and was much-praised for my work, and they look like the basic structure is the same to me. If you did a side-by-side of the zoomed-in pictures it might be clearer. I can't do that from where I am atm though.

No, I just looked at them side by side and I can see differences. Go to the first page of the thread and look at the photos. Even in their smaller versions, I see differences.

EDIT- I'll admit I could be wrong. Eyes do play tricks from time to time.

That's a good point. Not necessarily a reason for her to be darker, but they shouldn't necessarily look like vampires.

And uhh...how are those pale as hell?

They look fine to me. Sure I wouldn't be against tanning them up slightly or making one rosier than another, but they're hardly vampiric.

A user called Totobeni at Neogaf did this gif picture :-

I don't know if gifs work on this board (guess we are about to find out).  There are small differences between the faces but it is barely noticable.

EDIT : hey it works
