I'll again throw focus on the jawlines and cheekbones. Although I'll admit the first two or three are similar, they aren't all the same.

I'm honestly not seeing it, LPPrince. Maybe I'm blind today or something, but I'm an ex-art-student who specialized in portraits and was much-praised for my work, and they look like the basic structure is the same to me. If you did a side-by-side of the zoomed-in pictures it might be clearer. I can't do that from where I am atm though.

They don't look the same:

You can see on the closeups they're clearly different. The only thing I can agree looks the same overall is the facial structure, besides that eyes, mouth, makeup, hair, skin tone, etc is different.

For facial structure I like and voted for 5. I also really like 3's facial structure. I like 5's hairstyle best but I would not mind 3's. I would like to be able to change things like I know BioWare lets us do anyway.

I don't know if gifs work on this board (guess we are about to find out).  There are small differences between the faces but it is barely noticable.

EDIT : hey it works

Yeah all the "white" girls look like they have exactly the same facial structure to me. I can't tell with number 4. Number 6 is the same but has a slightly different nose - maybe.

It it because she's blonde? Elaborate.

5 - although with black or red hair...maybe the game will give you options to modify the defaults.

Its year 2185 so a 35 years old femshep could easly look like 20yo (humen lifespan is about 150yo)... also we have the heal scars upgrade in the normandy Posted Image

Don't get me wrong, I love this femshep, but she could almost be sheploos daughter.
Though he does look particularly old in that pic.

Agreed. I think they definitely should age her and rough her up a bit.

Compared to Male Shepard, FemShep does look really soft there...

She doesn't look all that tough in the face is all.  She looks like she has authority and could command, but I don't see much that suggests her combat skills.

To people justifying the age... Look at Sheploo. Look at this FemShep. They should look the same age because they are the same person. You can't just use that excuse for making FemShep look younger when it doesn't hold water for ManShep. They should be equal. If FemShep has some magic youth elixir and ManShep doesn't, that sends a bad message. If ManShep can look like he's his age and has been through war, FemShep should also.

The only point against the "blonde" Femshep is that she is supposed to be a soldier and as such, I find it somewhat unlikely that she would have her hair in such a style.  However, by ME:3 who know where her alliance is so pretty much anything is possible at this point.

Beauty is a strength, I mean look how often poor James Bond gets in trouble for falling for attractive women.

#5 is my favorite but think she would look better with red hair. There aren't a ton of blondes in the Mass Effect games, at least from what I remember, so would be fine with it staying blonde.

But don't they end up falling for him later? Posted Image

I think she could have beauty but still be a battle-worn woman... to which end she doesn't fit.  Very 'hollywood.'

This has already been countered. People age differently. Some look older some look younger to varying degrees.

Well remember Shepard is technically dead to the Alliance Military and as a Spectre Shepard isn't strictly military and doesn't have to follow military protocol regarding hair.

Well we will have to agree to disagree.  The facial structure of all of those examples are the same, the only difference is a nose change for two of them, then of course make-up, skintone and hair....even though the gif that someone made is off (it shifts from picture to picture), it still convinces me that the head model is the same.

To me, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, I still vote for number 4.  :P

Shepard is likely back with the Alliance in ME3.

From reading these threads 'all of them' every post the majority (not only the 20k on facebook) but on here alone want number 5 to win, most of them for the style of hair and face and few for the blonde colour given it's rarity in the ME universe thats fully acceptable.

Most of the people out of all threads not only want number 5 in which case should win regardless of excuses people come up with if it's got the highest vote, but a vast majority of those wish for red hair colour on that number 5 style.

Now personally I prefer black hair or blonde over red but I concede that most would like red.

why is it about protocol? considering shep's been a soldier for 13 years or something, I think by now she would value a practical haircut higher than a pretty one.

though, I'll admit, this is not necessary, since everyone can have his own thoughts about the personality of his character.

It just seems the most likely to me.

Its not like they will put so much inphasis on his or her hair while the Earth is being destroyed. They made male shepard very haggard looking and he was growing a beard. Its unlikely he really cared or even others in the military cared much about keeping their hair up to Military standards.

My stepfather was in the Army/Army Reserve for 20 years. Been out a few years now.

Guess what? He still keeps his hair cut down to military level. Because its drilled into them from the start.
