Facebook is the official one, this one's just for fun. I'm sure they'll look at it, but it won't change anything.

The BSN one is more fan made poll the facebook one is the real deal though this one may get taken into account if enough people vote however it won't take over the main one being facebook by sheer numbers the BSN version is microscopic in scale of votes.

As I, and many other people said, be sure that people on around ~2185 would look younger for longer time and would probably live 150+ years. So those Shepards could well possibly be in her thirties, that it'd be still perfectly possible for them to look like in her 20's.

Besides that MaleShepard looks relatively older in comparison doesn't mean FemShep has to.

As I, and many other people said, be sure that people on around ~2185 would look younger for longer time and would probably live 150+ years. So those Shepards could well possibly be in her thirties, that it'd be still perfectly possible for them to look like in her 20's.

Besides that MaleShepard looks relatively older in comparison doesn't mean FemShep has to.

In the novels they further push the fact that most humans look younger. Kahlee Sanders was 50 and she was still very attractive.

All of them look absolutely ridiculous. Every option has the face of a 13 year old girl. I could care less which hairstyle is the most preferred (as long as I don't have to deal with number 4), but FemShep is a soldier, and she should look like one. The final head mesh better look very different, or I am going to be genuinely disappointed in Bioware for the first time in my life.

Even though I really disagree with the sheps looking like she is 13 I will give you a really simple solution to your problem. Just make your own Shepard that looks older and more battle hardened.

I have to wonder how old people are on here or more accuratley how many over 30's friends they have. I did poll for average age of Bioware forumite and turned out by long way that most are around 17-25. As someone who's 31 around same age as femshep in images I know some young women around my age who look a lot older than 30 and some who look a lot younger. These "looks like 13 y/o" or "looks like a teen" replies are silly imho.

Hey, LP! I dislike #2 and #5 because I hate fake hair on Shepard even in the ME universe; I feel like she's too practical and real a character to have black eyebrows & lashes, but bright red or blond hair (though red doesn't bother me as much as blonde; less contrast there). That's just my preference; even if she had red hair I think she'd have red eyebrows as well because she's not the "do things halfway" type.. I also think of Samus Aran when seeing blond hair, and "oh, they sort of copied Samus" is probably a thing to avoid as much as possible; FemShep shouldn't be overshadowed by another video game character who preceded her. I actually like #5's hairstyle, as it resembles what I think of as being the iconic FemShep hair that a lot of us chose, though #4's is edgier and stands out more.

#1 resembles a love child of Natalie Portman and Rachael Leigh Cook, and neither of those actresses looks tough enough or sturdy enough to be FemShep even with androgynous hair like that. I also don't want to think "actress" looking at FemShep; she should be iconic in her own right.

#5 seems to have the most votes on Facebook, but I think her features are too standard and the hair color, I just really don't like. Also, the fact that there are 4 brunettes, 1 redhead, and 1 blonde make it so that if hair is a deciding factor for someone on whether they choose that particular Shepard, then those who prefer dark hair will be divided between their 4 possibilities, while the blonde and redhead preferring people only have one option to choose, so all their votes will be piled in one place. There are actually more votes for a brunette overall than for #5, but I'm not sure if they'll take that into account.

In the end, I'm hoping for an amalgam of the elements that are liked best by fans rather than a single Shepard to be chosen.

That is a dramatic improvement. I saw on Facebook that a lot of people indeed wanted to see her with red hair, and now that I have, I like the look a lot better. She looks so much more fierce, arresting, and eye-catching this way with that fiery hair. I think black hair would look even nicer, though, to me at least. But the red is good with me, too.

Interesting, LP, but I think I like the darker red better. The strawberry looks washed out in comparison with the lava and her eyebrows in that poster, whereas the other red pops against the blue and isn't swallowed by the black of her brows.

Yeah, I like the Fiery Red too, but I'm more of a fan of Strawberry Blondie because her hair meshes well with the omniblade, the background, and its not a hair color you see all that often.

Well, I still intend to be grumpy! I'll get over it eventually. However, if she looks like this in the finished product, a small part of me will never forgive Bioware for making a character as awesome as FemShep look like a little girl. It is completely incongruous with her personality.

On a side note, I too think that default FemShep should remain a redhead, even though my personal choice would be option number one. It really is the only logical hairdo for a soldier.
