ME1 and 2 femshep = pug to me when she's 'in game' maybe she looks better as high-res outside it but inside ME 1 and 2 games themselves, my god she's nasty (personal opinion).

From poll this what they remind me of and you free to disagree ofc, but when I look at them these are who spring to mind rght away. The obvious only exception is number 3 I can't think of anyone she looks like but at same time reminds me of every single black haired actress I have ever seen so bit of dilema.

#1-Winona Ryder clone.

#2-Demi Moore

#4-Rihanna extreme lookalike.

#5-Kate Beckinsale with black hair from Underworld (but concede most want red).

#6-Also Winona Ryder clone but younger version from Bettlejuice film.


#3-<Insert generic random any girl from any film> Meaning so bland to me she doesnt remind me of anything.

A person's combat skills have nothing to do with what they look like. A person who has gone through a lot does not have to look old, especially in a future with longer living humans. A soldier does not have to have a "not perfectly shaped" face.

This is not a "which Shepard looks most like your misconstrued perception of what a soldier from a sci fi video game should look like" poll, this is "which Shepard is the most physically appealing".

As I said, she's more than just a soldier, she's a negotiator and a diplomat too.

I think that the most attractive ones are #4 and #6 anyway. #5 looks good and battle-ready which is why she gets my vote.

In any case, it's a bit ironic to say we shouldn't vote for physical appearance when that's the only thing to vote for. Her combat ability and personality are identical, the only difference between these Shepards is their physical appearance!

Nothing at all. I have no objection to blonde Sheperd at all. I have preference for dark haired women as my heroines in games but blonde is also nice and would be perfectly happy as blonde femshep. On the flipside I don't know why people like red heads so much but thats just my preference again.

Can't say I really understand why BioWare is asking for opinions, I really think they just like to read the arguments that get started.

I like the original Female Shepard and would be happy to see her recognized, but the new ones are ok too. When I play the game I'm going to be using my Female Shepard so the cover face isn't going to matter to me that much.

Some people just are making mountains from mole hills.   Or they want something tweaked or altered something else similar.   Its impossible to please everyone, but the fact she has such a commanding lead shows she is the overall fans choice.

personal preference. To me, dark haired women are ten times sexier than blondes. 

That said.... I doubt most people voted for her b/c she's blonde. More like, they voted for her b/c of the hairstyle. If it's brown, black, red, orangish.... I'd be willing to bet that that Shepard would still have won.

Ahhh yes, AkdoRyu's Marge Shepard.   Not quite default Shepard, but she made the rounds in articles and marketing femshep outside Bioware!!

Anyway behind those eyes is a woman who kicks butt!




Guess it would be unfair for a fan creation to take the new default stage.  Other then the existing default Jane Shepard the only thing they could have done was creat a new femshep from the ground up.

Certainly it will also be a preset in the game. But so will Jane 1.0, if we are to believe Casey. Meaning that she doesn't have to be ignored in-game.

I'd just like to point out that 5 doesn't really have long hair... I have long hair and it's about four times that length. I'd love for there to be a long braid option, but alas I'm stuck with the top knot instead, which at least gives the impression of much longer hair. That wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't pulled the hairline back too far. Ah well, top knot it is.

Too bad none of the concept art has one of those. I guess 2 has her hair pulled back, but you can't really tell if it's a short up-do or a long one.
