have the devs said if we will be able to actually customize the default Sheps this time around?

Personally, I like the Blonde Shep ( #5 ) and I'm glad she's ahead in the polls.

However, I may want to change her hair color or hair style or eye color, etc.

it would be great if we were allowed to change "superficial" stuff like those on the default models.

She's likely to be like Vandershep and not be moddable.

luckily, I have a ME2 facecode that I really like, so hopefully I will be able to use that in ME3.

None of the Above ! ( I can hear a GASP from the crowd.... )
My concept for Captain Shepard would be someone of more mixed ethnicity.. with Eurasian features from her parents of different heritages. I expect these features to occur much more frequently as the world population mixes more and more. Ms. Shepard would also be a formidable person physically due to years of hard training and combat experience ! ( Oh yeah - where are the scars ? ) The six models presented all look to me like 20 year old models shoved into very shapely combat suits. Larry Niven presented a good argument for what he called "the Belter Crest" - because long hair gets in your way in zero gravity - so REAL Spacers would likely have a short cut -or a short mohawk at most. Space Marines also wouldn't want to provide enemies with a good handhold either ! Sorry Blondie - you've got to tie that hair back - or cut it down ! For these reasons, the six concepts -though beautiful to look at - don't fit the scenario for me.

The only thing I'd like to see in this topic now is high res pics of every Shepard. I want a better look, see just how different they really were.

Hope they atleast give us similar hairstyles for our customs. I'd love that. :D

Female marine in Afghanistan

granted she is in her early 20ies, Shepard is 29 when ME starts AND people live up to 150 in the ME universe so apparent age is not exactly comparable.

I really do not see what is wrong with Shep's apparent age in those images

While a gorgeous woman, she hardly has the spotless, lineless face of these FemSheps. I would say she looks older than these FemShep images simply because of how unrealistically clear and soft their faces are. I would vote for her over any of the choices for that reason.

I wholeheartedly agree. I also just now realised that when you look at those FemShep pictures, their foreheads are completely smooth even though their eyebrows are very close to the corner of the eye, which would implicate quite a lot of forehead-scrunching, right? Or maybe it's just the low res pics, I don't know.

Well, the marine in the photo's lines are more pronounced and evident because she's in bright sunlight and is squinting because of it. You can have certain expressions that look more contorted/wrinkled than others, and some expressions that look relativatively smooth.

I love women in their 30's. So bring it on, they actualy look more femine than most 20 year old.

But why bother complaining with Shepard actualy taking care of her looks? Ashley looks good too, shes a Soldier. So does rest of the female characters, even dr. swa...wack---... THE NORMANDY DOCTOR WOMAN! And she is propably in her 50's.

You shouldn't judge book by it's cover. I would start complaining if she dressed in ****ty way.

I think the blond is great but they should make her seem more older. Here are 2 links to pictures from a magazine called ''Croatian soldier''. The major is 34, blond, blue eyes. Hope they work, don't know how to directly upload a pictue, if you can at all.

Well, we already had Javi say what he had to say regarding Blonde hate, so lets move along before he does what he says he might have to do.

I think it would defeat bit of the objective of making a "Special FemShep" if you then can turn around and customzie her again. What would the difference be to the "present default FemShep" (on a technical reason) ...

oh and btw ... No. 3 for me  ... she looks more similar to my main FemShep :)  (whom I'm proud of, specifically due to my general lack of visiual artistic skills)... (or 5 maybe)

Yeah folks, the point of this is to have a VanderShep for females. Basically, a high res model for FemShep players.

Chances are she can't be changed.

Yeah, then [insert hate about blondes looking too pornstarish and like barbies]

Even if a page of this thread doesn't have blonde hate it's a miracle.

Maybe if we stop talking about blonde hate, there won't be any.

There's a thought.

Well maybe. But the shape of the nose is clearly different.

True but aside from the nose it's pretty damn similar, might actually change my favourite, how cool would it be to be gunning down alien weird things as Mia Wallace
