I personally think it's fine Shep could be blonde, since their aren't too many blonde characters in the game. Femshep version 5 just happens to have the coolest looking face and hair style (which is similar to a lot of custom femshep choices, regardless of hair colour). My personal ranking from most liked to okay is:

1. Femshep 5
2. Femshep 6
3. Femshep 4
4. Femshep 3
5. Femshep 2
6. Femshep 1

The first four I would be happy with. A lot less so with the last two.

I wish!  If #3 looked East Asian I'd vote for her.  (Disclaimer: I am Asian-American.)  To me she looks Eastern European.  That said, if I were going to vote, I'd probably vote for #3 due to hairstyle problems on #4 and #6, which I otherwise think would be great because they're ethnically ambiguous.  The hair in the face on #4 is problematic, and #6's Bettie Page bangs make me think she hangs out in espresso bars, works at an art gallery and rides a pink Vespa.

ETA: I don't think there's anything wrong with FemShep being blonde.  I think they all look too young, but if these are the choices #5 looks pretty tough.

I agree. She looks sexy, dangerous, and battle hardened. Definitely picked #5 the moment I saw her.

I might even create a FemShep as a non canon playthrough beside my canon male.
