Lets connect the dots on some of these things guys. If Casey could've answered the question straight out... he would have.

Sometimes he brings up interesting alternative information regarding their goals with it, etc. It was pretty clear to me that they weren't covering the classes that weren't on display.

Its either;

Whiney Fan: Casey, what new stuff can you tell us about ME3?
Casey: Gives the same answer as he has given in the past 3 interviews to avoid spoilers
Whiney Fan: WAAAAAAAAAAH!! I already knew that, Stop dodging questions! I hate you!
Casey: *facepalm*

or

Whiney Fan: Casey, what new stuff can you tell us about ME3?
Casey: Well, You will go to planet X in order to do a mission to get race Y on side to give you a better chance aganist the Reapers. While you are there, you will stumble across ancient weapon Z.
Whiney Fan: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! Spoilers! I hate you!!!!
Casey: *facepalm*

Yes. They avoided a lot of the interesting question and picked those that they have "answered" a thousand times before.
Like how many times did they answer "Will Tali's face be revealed in ME3?".
Ugh ... And then the same demo again and again. Sur'kesh. A level that I now hate before I have even played the game. I am sick of Sur'kesh.

JUST got back from CCSD. THE demo that JEsse Huston plays IS THE demo that I got to play. 3 classes Soldier, Adept & SENTINEL, lots of fun and a NEW LEARNING CURVE. The demo is just that a DEMO, it is incomplete, shows things are in the works and not currently fully functional; ie, assigning talent points, moding the guns and Sentinel gets 3! Objective pointer NOT currently there (I got lost a few times).
I DID mention to JH about a 2 button (Xbox controller) (XA?) for Medigel, BIG interest from him, so we'll see what happens, and who knows maybe we'll get XA, BY & AB as assignable power action buttons?
And YES someone asked Casey about TALI, again ... wait and see, he's NOT gonna tell us one way or the other and spoil it, same for Miranda.

It's the only way to prevent spoilers these days unfortunately.

Not talking about skills prevents spoilers?  How exactly does it do that?  And why was it possible to do so previously,  but now suddenly it creates spoilers?

Has anyone let the Diablo team know that?  Because they laid out the classes years prior to release,  and kept the community well abreast of changes and why they were made.  They'll also sell many times more units than ME3.

There's another reason why they're not talking about it,  and it has nothing to do with spoilers.  I would guess,  at least in the solider's case,  it's because they're not going to tell us it's all the same.  Mainly because "Ammo powers" is already laughable and confirming it's continuation wouldn't be a good plan for them.

"How does this cylindrical object fit in this round hole again?  I still don't get it Sarge!"

Hudson's doing a great job of building anticipation by reassuring old (and perhaps skeptical) rpg fans the devs are listening to them, exciting the shooter fans new to the series by selling the familiar-yet creative-gameplay features, and revealing bits and pieces of info on the story while being vague enough for the fanboys/girls to keep creating speculation threads

I've already got my collector's edition preordered,  but I've gotta say...

Creative elements?  Where exactly are these?  Is it the magical ability to show all of your teammates how to load a cartridge of alternate rounds into a gun in a split second,  when they're 30 yards away from you,  in the middle of a firefight?

Shooter fans aren't going to be excited by this,  that's one of the biggest problems with ME2,  ME3,  and the marketing.  ME2's AI was abyssmal,  and no real shooter fan is going to be exicited by an AI from the 90's.  Nor are they going to be excited by features that became standard a decade ago,  such as location based damage and grenades.

I would bet that the issue is there's churn inside Bioware at this stage.  First by the conflict generated by the "New direction" for Bioware,  second by the abdication of one of the leads who pushed that direction,  and third by the inclusion of elements that don't actually add value to the game.  I also would be surprised if there isn't tension due to Dragon Age 2's reception.  These kinds of things generally tend to cause problems.

Powers and Talent points:
there is the base power; when you highlight it, it brings up another screen, then you get to pick more damage or faster cool down, and there is MORE Than one option and each option requires more points; Garrus' AP more damage or squad. It's sorta like ME2 BUT with ME1's one at a time hybrid, the screen tells you how many points are required and how many you have left. I am NOT sure about reassigning points like LofSB for squad mates nor the research terminal for Shepard and NO mention of scanning for resources BUT Planet Scanning IS in, looks to be more like PLACES to visit or for missions/codex.

Yes. When someone answers a question they weren't asked it makes them look completely foolish. I remember one of the Interviewers asked "So is Earth basically gonna be the Omega Relay of ME3?" and then Casey spouts out "Well this is the 3rd game, annd we've really been able to make your choices count. It really is just a big galactic war, and since its the start of the Galactic war, it's a great entry point for new comers. It's definitely the best time to start your Mass Effect journey".

Pretty sure the expression on the interviewers face was "0.0".

Point is, if Casey doesn't want to answer a question, he should say it. Not go on about how ME3 is the best entry point at every ****ing narrow opportunity.

If Casey can't comment on something yet I accept that. My issue is him dancing
around what is asked and going off on a tangent, without answering the original
question; it's quite irritating.

I like to think it's more like this:

Whiney Fan: Casey, what new stuff can you tell us about ME3?
Casey: Goes off on a tangent and doesn't answer the question
Me: that is quite irritating.

or

Whiney Fan: Casey, what new stuff can you tell us about ME3?
Casey: We are still figuring things out, so we can't let you know just yet
Me: Fair enough.

i mean they've barely said anything about Vega and theres huge 10+ page hate threads going on about him, you kinda gotta understand their position when you have a community as crazy as this.

LOL, he said response to Vega was "mostly positive". I don't follow the topics about him closely, but that's about the opposite of the impression I get here.

But then, 10+ page hate threads may be "mostly positive" compared to the 100+ page hate threads Miranda and Jack got in the months before ME2's release.

I'm more tired of interviewers that have almost no knowledge of the series asking stupid and pointless questions during interviews.

At the Comic-con panel someone asks what new Tech and Biotic
powers there will be, he tells us that powers can be levelled up multiple times
as if we haven't heard it a dozen times before. Someone asks what abilities the
Solider will have to make him/her more appealing, he basically says he hits
harder. THATS IT

I understand that he can't tell us everything for whatever reason (hasn’t been
built yet, spoiler, ect) but I'd rather him say "I can't comment on that
right now" than him twisting the question into another question and then
answering that.

Anyone feel my frustration?

No, because Casey damn well knows that just because someone asks a question doesn't necessarily mean he has to explain everything. Look at Christopher Nolan and the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises", that's a perfect example of how we think we know a lot about it when in fact we don't.

tl;dr = I'm not frustrated.

Good morning everyone, seems like i haven't missed a thing.

So the only news are we are gonna vote for the official femshep? Well, i play sheploo and sheploo only. And those Q&A are boring and things we already know. I am surprised no question about Harbinger was asked. Maybe that is top secret. I wonder if Keith is returning to voice Harbinger again and if we will see more conversations with Harbinger.

Looks i missed nothing. LOL! Glad i went to bed and slept 8-9 hours instead of being awake and watch this uninteresting things.

I don't mind it too much. There is very little he's allowed to reveal this early on, but he can't just say 'I can't answer that' to every question.

Besides, its better than the Peter Molyneux style of just making things up instead.

Nope, not at all. After working long time in different companies, your learn how customer service works. They can't answer question, because they don't know the answer or it's not benefitial them to answer for them. Learn to handle something what it's not in your control, because it's your personal issue. Little like children asking,  why I can't get what I want.

A part of me gets why he's so evasive with alot of his questions ( given how a lot of people feel about Spoilers ) but I must agree that I do find that alot of his replies either don't really answer anything or they end up making me more nervous about ME3. I look forward to the day when we will get more definitive answers out of him.

I actually like the fact that Casey is playing the cards so close to his chest, sure he has a limited spectrum of questions that he can answer but I'd rather him not answer a question than give away spoilers.
