It may be tiring sometimes but we have to understand he really has little say what he can reveal, the marketing team pulls the strings here unfortunately and they need content for future reveals

He must choose between people complaining about him dodging questions and people complaining about him dropping spoilers.

would you rather him say "assuming direct control" and eyes turn red...and reveal that Tali is a mini reaper? Posted Image

Or air Quote the turian ambasador "ah yes questions we have dismissed those as _______" (insert blank with what you wish) my suggestion "wild assertations"  Posted Image
Or quote Monuel "spoilers" "Time ---- age--- humanity---end---one---darkness--destroyer......----"
Posted Image plus I say They confirmed that Wrex is a *cough*ladies *Cough*man*cough* that's pretty major in light of certain forum topics *gag*

my opinion**** so they shouldn't reveal anything till march 5 2012 what do they reveal:  *shepard is in the game that's ****all that is needed to be known****... and on Jan 18 if they push back the release date to finish the game I would be happy!

Posted Image Posted Image I think they should release ME3 when it's READY not when a "release date" comes.Posted Image   Posted Image

For the last damn time I'd rather him flat out say he can't comment on Tali at the moment. I am not complaining about the lack of info, I'm complaining about the fact that he answers questions completely different to those asked. Read the damn thread.

He's being asked all sorts of stuff
that he should never answer before the release. I don't think he should
answer more than say 5% of story spoilers before the game is released.
Game mechanics, stage of development, UI queries etc are all fair game
because they don't spoil anything.

I agree with you on the gameplay thing.

Lol he can't win... this is the same with EVERY dev in a similar position, it's not like this is a month from game launch, in which case I'd be really annoyed by his dodging. It's almost a year away. Part of the fun is guessing, and getting answers we've been mulling about sprinkled about. Sure more directly answered yeah, he could be more straightforward I think he has been honestly for the most part, esp the last Q&A. I was more annoyed just showing the same demo over and over, w/o much new, I mean was barely a month since E3, but yeah.

And part of it is ppl asking the same stupid questions over and over...

With regards the demo, to some extent it makes sense on a few levels. I imagine getting a 'new' demo setup would take some time and with the Cons so close, it makes sense thus to leave it as is unless they manage to greenlight a new demo which would show off something new.

I am actually expecting to see Sur'Kesh at Gamescom in mid-august. Personally it wouldn't bother me (as long as I get chance to play it ^_^ ) but who knows maybe by then they'll have had some people working on another demo and we get to see that instead (or as well as).

Like you say, there are some things which he is bound to dodge either due to them not being fixed in place yet or leading to potential spoilers. There is no point in him talking about a feature that isn't fully set in stone because something could happen that causes the feature not to make it into the final game and then they end up with screaming nerd rage fans complaining because it isn't there.

I don't feel yer frustration at all actually. I understand completely what situation he's in -- bound by contracts and the like to shut up. I'm sure he'd love to keep us all in the loop but you know, he can't and for good reason.

Also Sur'kesh is a good demo -- It's pretty impressive that they've got a workable level with mechanics and crap in it almost a year from release.

Not much Casey can do really, especially this far out from ME3's release. He can't tell us about the story or characters tied into it - spoilers and so on. I much prefer not knowing anything at this stage rather than knowing almost everything as was the case with ME2.

why don't you people listen, I have no problem with the lack of information. It's his indirectness that bugs me.

Have you ever read, watched, or looked at something so awesome you just had to share it with someone? The whole ME3 dev team is probably going through that, but they can't share any of it with us until ME3 launches next March. Next time, try looking at it from the other end before you start b****ing.

Yes it's annoying but i'm willing to cut him some slack. The fan's were very annoyed last year with too many spoilers about ME2 being revealed b4 the release so bioware is keeping a cap on Casey this time around. He probably is only allowed to say certain things about the game. So i'm alright with him avoiding questions to an EXTENT. I also want new fotage of the game. Sur'Kesh is getting boring. A clip of Wrex, Grunt, Tali, or Thane would be most welcome since i've already seen Garrus, Mordin and Legion.

If anything I think he should dodge more questions. I don't really have the strength to stay away for this site and ME3 news but knowing less makes the game sooooo much more special when I get my hands on it.

Nah, not really, I can understand his situation, it's not uncommon to see them dodge certain questions. Besides, we've still got 8 MONTHS before ME3 will even be released, better they avoid then spoil this early.

If anyone didn't notice, all of BW's devs, when talking in public, repeat the same things over and over again and act VERY ackward, stopping mid sentence for a second before going on.

It's like.... they're.... indoc- [ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL]

OK, look: if a bunch of people were annoyed at the same thing you're annoyed at....they'd have brought it up too.  If most people aren't bringing up your specific gripe, that's a pretty good indication that not only don't they care that he dodges questions, they also don't particularly care how he dodges.

This is why, if I were Casey Hudson, I'd do everything I could to get out of doing those kinds of things. People aren't happy. No matter what!

And if they just said nothing at all about the game people would complain about that.
