What's the big deal? I kind of expect them to avoid giving detailed answers at this point about much of anything, especially when there's a pronounced tendency for fans to jump all over every little thing. So what if he isn't saying "no comment"? It's not going to change a thing.

I think Casey comes across really well, there is only so much that he's able to talk about so naturally he tries to talk about those things.
I'm quite sure they will be working on the assumption that they are talking to some *new* viewers who know little about ME3 at each of these sessions.

I have to admit when they did the BioWare Pulse Q&A at the end of E3 I already zoned out when Casey used certain phrases. And I have to agree with a previous post, if you can't answer questions because you'd spoil things, then don't ask for questions. Because the way Casey 'answers' sometimes it has nothing to do anymore with the question and he could just as well just talk about what he can talk from the beginning ...

also, ironically enough this was done ages ago in regards to promoting ME2 ...
I just had to dig it up now

The fact that, by the OP's standards, you're not properly annoyed when Casey dodges questions by giving answers that change the subject.

Casey is pretty good at talking a lot without actually saying anything. It's kind of funny, actually. I understand his reticence.

OK, look: if a bunch of people were annoyed at the same thing you're annoyed at....they'd have brought it up too.  If most people aren't bringing up your specific gripe, that's a pretty good indication that not only don't they care that he dodges questions, they also don't particularly care how he dodges.

Ok, look this might be a little ironic with me bringing up a personal gripe about Casey, but A LOT of posters are commenting on me whining about not getting much new info about ME3, which was never my problem.

Now I can take people criticizing me, (if I couldn't I shouldn't of started this topic) and I am a big believer in people being able to say whatever they think of a person. I invite anyone here to give me their opinions of me if they feel they need to.

I only ask that you read enough of the thread to to make informed criticism, not decide what my problem is. For the record; I have no issue with the lack of ME3 info at all, I have issue with Casey Hudsons indirectness when answering questions he really can't, going off into a tangent of an unrelated topic.

It's... I guess the word is "mildly annoying," (I was sort of disappoint at his response to the "romance" question) but in all honesty I don't blame him. I'm actually surprised he's throwing himself to the Q&A crowd this early. Really, the only thing he can reveal that would most likely remain consistent through until March would be story-related and that is rife with spoilers. I think he should just continue feeding the twitter crowd a few hints and kernels and avoid the podium until after Christmas. By then, ME3 should ideally be near completion and he could answer non-spoiler related questions more comfortably.

But thank you, Mr. Hudson, for all you've chosen to reveal to us eager fans thus far! :)

So, you don't have a problem that he can't give info, you just have a problem with the way in which he doesn't give info?

How would you like him to not answer your questions, then?

I understand that he can't tell us everything for whatever reason (hasn’t been
built yet, spoiler, ect) but I'd rather him say "I can't comment on that
right now" than him twisting the question into another question and then
answering that.

If anything, I can empathize with Casey a little since I have a similar habit of flying off on bizarre tangents and repeating what I already said myself.

Yeah, it's kind of derpy, annoying, and dishonest (especially when one considers the marketing department's role in things), but I'm not gonna get pissed about it, especially since not everyone is following ME3 as closely as we are. Hell, I only just found out about the new biotic adrenaline rush thing... overwhelm?

Well, that seems awfully petty to me.

They both pretty much convey the same thing.

I'd prefer him to not waste my time telling my something I already know and not actually answering the given question and just simply say, "I can't talk about that quiet yet." It's like when someone asks 'How are skills going to be improved?' and then him answering, 'we've put a lot of extensive work in the weapon mods.' That's not what I asked for and not related, I don't care and that's information you've already talked about.

You don't have any credits and yet you'll still view Q&As in live streams and YouTube videos, nobody can resist the possibility of new info. :wizard:

The things people complain about.
"Am I the only one who's annoyed by Casey's fashion sense?" I won't be surprised if I see this thread.
If he'd listen to whatever anyone has to say we'll be in for a lot of spoilers. We might as well play the game from start to finish by just listening to people asking questions and him answering, because some just have a talent at asking the dumbest things while others just don't have the patience anymore.
And if he answer with "No comment", then people again will complain about how he's so blunt and not even trying to come up with something.

It doesn't bother me when devs avoid answering too many questions. It's nice getting a few surprises when I get my hands on a new game instead of knowing everything about it before launch. Too many gamers are too impatient these days.

In these situations, Devs should do one of two things:

1) Be honest and say "Sorry, can't/won't reveal that yet."

2) Quote Castiel from Supernatural, complete with unnaturally husky voice: "We're not supposed to talk about it."

He's doing much better and is a much more outspoken producer than of most other companies. Dodging questions is part of his job description, he's leading the development of a game that's worth millions.

How he avoids those questions and which demos get shown are nitpicky details which do not define a game, its producer, or some scrawny level for me anyway.
