... my family is sharing a single copy of the game within the same house?

My brother bought Dragon Age 2 recently, for the 360. Since we live in the same house, I saw no need to spend money on a second copy. We can play off of the same copy perfectly well.  (If that's not legal, games have seriously changed for the worst!)

If I register the copy on here so that I can use the forums, am I making it impossible for him to register it here and also use the forums? It really technically is his game. I don't want to screw him over. But there's just no reason for me to buy a copy of my own.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

You can, as far as I'm aware, only register a game once. As it's his game, he should tie it to his own account, and you could then play the game using his details. All the DLC would be tied to his account, as would all the forum privileges that go with it. Without having DA2 registered, you won't be able to post in some of the sub-forums, but you will still be able to access and read them, and participate in others.

Thanks or the response! Unfortunately, it's the forums that appeal to me. He doesn't care about registering games, but I'm worried that by registering it myself so that we can both benefit, I will mess him up in the long run with any DLC he's purchased or was eligible for. I don't want to do that, I just can't afford to get the game myself. I REALLY want to participate in the forum discussions, too!

What about a player profile? Am I also restricted from having that, with the characters/saves that are on my own xbox live account?
