 I've just started a duo run with a friend. Now I've never finished the game, and my friend has never played an IE game before (FYI now that we have played a while, he's joined the fandom ).

The two characters a Sol (Human Demarch of Mask, played by my friend) and Pharoah (Drow Sorcerer with a penchant for FIREBALLING EVERYTHING!!!! Played by me).

Anywho, things have been going pretty well, although playing without pausing (or at least only in extreme circumstances) has been interesting. It adds a new challenge to the game, as well as my friend being pretty unfamiliar with D&D in general, so he's learning how to play a Cleric at the same time. It's been pretty fun. We are up past the Oswald crash now and going strong.

In short, I highly reccommend playing multiplayer with a friend if your into that sort of thing and having a unique challenge.
