I am ready to accept any female Shepard. And even keep the old Default Jane Shepard. But I do not want the old cliché rotten to ruin my  female hero.

This isn't just any random character in this game, it's Shepard. One with whom I play for M1.

I have nothing against blondes, but then, when I look at the picture, I can not. Too much.

I propose an alternative. A color hair toggle for those who don't want !

Not really bothered which gets used in the trailer, so long as all the hairstyles are available for custom Shep's in-game.

k... as far as I know they posted up 6 pictures of various female shepards.

Chances are they're gonna stick with Jane shepard as she's been the default since ME1. But whether they have a black haired, brown haired or blond haired shepard.... dont really see the big deal.

The preset is good. Even the blond hair is OK. But let us change it and do not lock it down, like the default male shep and Hawke.

Let's avoid "How do I create the default face with Ccreator, I only want to change the hair?" threads.

I want this Shepard as the default. (or a red head) I just prefer dark hair because I like the idea of her being a female version of the default male Shepard.

You demanded it and the people voted for what they wanted to see. The verdict is in and now you start up the complain train AGAIN all because the one you wanted didn't win. Give us a break.

Besides if you used the default Female Shepard from game 1 and 2 I'm sure the face will transfer so you don't have to worry too much anyway.

Normally you're right, Bogsnot, but here you're not understanding the problem, just like the two people below you (one of whom is having an elaborate persecution fantasy, which is just sad).

The OP isn't complaining that FemShep is blonde, per se, he is asking that they be allowed to change the hair-colour on the default model. The reason he is asking for this, is because if they can't, this board, on release, is going to be absolutely swamped by people asking how they can use the default FemShep face, but change the hair-colour. It will be so.

Indeed, the only reason for BioWare to not do this, really, is that there will be mods or hacks out that will do it within a few days of release, no doubt - but better to do it themselves and professionally, I'd say, as it's not exactly a huge job.

Seriously now, to OP, I quite like your version, but I like the original blond as well, I don't see what's so wrong about it...
Also, you should definitely elaborate on what you mean by toggle, because as far as I know hair colour toggles already exist... :/

The popular vote is the vote of the people. The majority is the majority. End of line. I love this sentence on the Bsn  where I see everywhere, " the majority sucks, has no right, etc etc, the score fans are the true fans bla bla bla" Funny how people like this idea when it suits them, and it's going in their direction.

If you think a little, you would see that I am ready to resign myself to see a blonde shepard, since I try to offer something else in the same time for those who would not.
Have you not seen a proposal next ? You know it's constructive to offer something for those who would be unhappy.

This is a major change for default shepard, it is something important. It is obvious that people can afford to be worried. Do not you think?

Well, I'm also a bit disappointed with the hair cuts for the proposed FemSheps. I don't like those short cut female hair cuts or ponytails. From the proposed FemSheps I only like the hair cuts of Shepard #4 & #5, but I'm not a big fan of a blond Shepard. Personally I would prefer a FemShep with auburn or red hair and longer hair (like FemShep #4 & #5).



Cant we have  FemShep looking more like this, or the one in the opening post?

All I'm saying is that the fans (if you can call their vitriolic hatred of Mark Meer and Male Shepard fandom) of Fem Shep have been outspoken in their desire to see her represented on the cover of the game and in commercials for the game.

They get their wish and then what happens. Some of the fans of Fem Shep don't like the color of her hair and request yet another toggle and are outraged that their specific choice didn't win. It's even more silly when you realize that the option was voted on in a landslide poll http://social.biowar...31/polls/22498/ yet people have the temerity to sit there and be angry about public opinion winning.

As to your other point yes of course there will be mods to change her hair color to brown or black or even purple. People will always do that regardless of what Bioware puts in the game. I don't wish any of you to be punished. Your own fandom is already doing enough of that by itself.

I only have one femshep playthrough and by looking at the new potential default femshep faces, it looks like she'll be getting a makeover before starting ME3.

Anyway. I don't really care which one makes it to the cover, as long as all of these (including the long haired blonde femshep) is available through presets in ME3's character creator.

I personally like them all, and no one forcing you to play the default character. You have the option of making your own. I truly don't see the big deal of this.

I agree, but I'll point out Fem!Shep is already having an option Male!Shep was never given, this alone should be a reason to be happy... Do you think everyone likes Sheploo? I do somehow, but I heard many don't and no one bothered to ask whether the fans liked that face when the game first came out...
Fem!Shep is at least given some options and we all have had the possibility to express our opinions about what she should look like...

If we have to follow the make everyone happy route we'll have to listen to those who don't want Sheploo as their default too...

And I never read that Shepard had to be blonde anywhere. Simply that there were not enough characters blond, and I agree with that.

You do have a persecution fantasy though, look at the bit I bolded. Sorry mate, most people who like FemShep aren't remotely like that, and when you're saying things like that and using hilarious phrases like "your ilk", you're basically mentally wanking yourself off to this idea that some horde of angry evil people is "out to get you".

As for people getting what they wanted, I don't think anyone much wanted a poll. What they wanted wanted was for BW to come up with a cool, unique FemShep design and say "Here, isn't this cool?". I think BioWare dictating the default design, like with ManShep (whose design I love, btw), would have been much better received that this. I mean, if we did this with ManShep, it'd be hilarious, because I bet you someone who looks nothing like Mark Vanderloo, and way, way, way more like James Vega would have won (indeed I, perhaps unfairly, suspect Vega is the result of testing what shooter fans like in a character).

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask BW to allow the toggling of hair colours on the default-face FemShep. The face (basically Winona Ryder in a bad mood) isn't bad, and a lot of people (not me, I suspect), will use it. By letting people use it without mods, BW ensure a more stable game experience.

EDIT - Note that people would ask for this on ManShep - IF HE HAD ANY HAIR lol!

My mother is a real platinum blonde (unlike yours, I'm sure), and I'm blonde-ish, so this isn't blonde-hate, dude, this is people wanting to be able to vary a hair-colour on the model they LIKE.

I mean this is what a lot of the haters in this thread don't get - people who want to be able to change the hair-colour LIKE THE MODEL. Otherwise they'd just be saying "dump the model", but they're not.

But we already know Shepards character.   How is showing blonde hair colour making her suddenly cliche?

There a hundreds of blonde femsheps out there and each is equal in every way to all the other femsheps that also exist.
