I have a problem, I say. You got a problem with that ?

I propose an alternative, it means what ? If you are thinking just two seconds, it means that I am aware that others are playing Mass Effect and like the blonde shepard. But necessairly all eh.

So what would this proposed toggle be used for, the collector's edition tin?  A trailer?  The default femshep appearance?  Maybe you need to clarify what you want, as right now I'm just getting a huge "FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS" vibe from this post.

Seriously, I do not see the relevance of your point. I have something to say, and I propose a path. To bioware to take into account or not. What is the problem again?

Mass Effect has other priorities may be, but every detail counts. I'm not going to ignore simply because it is a minor detail.

You request a change ( to change Jane ), I ask another way. What is the difference please?

I demand that all the hairstyles are in the CC. *rubs hands together* Well I actually beg, please bioware, it'd be awesome.

That's all I care about, I'm just happy she's on the cover/trailer at all. I have a custome shep obviously, I just want all of those hairstyles to be an option.

The only reason I don't want blonde being the default is due to me having black hair (really due to fear that the hair won't be availiable to edit), so I'm biased in the argument.

Blonde has a strong image to most of being depicted in some way or another.
It isn't a "neutral" colour. But whoever wins wins, that's how voting works.

If she had been there since ME1 then I doubt this argument would be place, I somehow think it would have been easier if Bioware did one design and let us be stuck with the decision. >.<

I get a kick out of these threads. You don't like the blonde, then vote! Nobody is making you play the default anyway. Hilarious.

Has it ben confirmed that Bio are going with the blonde version?
Since the choices were only made available yesterday I would have thought the voting window would be longer to give more people time to decide.

Personally I voted for version 1, but since I'll be importing my Shep from the first two games, the default doesn't really matter to me that much. Plus, pretty much most of the choices look the same face-wise to me,and even the blonde hair is pretty much the same as the other long-hair styles just a different colour, I can't see what the fuss is about - a hairstyle is hardly game-breaking.

The fact is FemShep is finally getting some marketing and that in itself makes me happy.

I personally like them all, and no one forcing you to play the default character. You have the option of making your own. I truly don't see the big deal of this.

Only thing this vote is about is which femshep, is gonna be in the trailer they release in a frew mouths.

cool do it for all subjects on the bsn and facebook. sorry, It is simply the general reasoning that is a bit stupid.

I dream to see it happen for the multiplayer, if it's definitely the norm on the bsn. :P

I'm not advocating for blonde Shepard.  I'm asking you to clarify your position.  You want options, but where would these options be implemented?  As far as I know, the blonde Shepard that has started such a controversy is intended for use in the collector's edition tin, perhaps in a trailer or two, and maybe (?) in the game as a preset option.  Are you asking for a toggle in all of these possibilities?  I'm just not sure what you're complaining about.

If they pick the blond one, I won't cry. She looks really good and even though I've never played with a blond FemShep (most of them are either black or red haired) I like her hairstyle and she DOES look like she can kick some ass. The first, short haired FemShep, is my pick but...

I wish they would have made Miranda blonde, atleast.

Think of the racial implications if Miranda, the "perfect woman," were blonde.  I know this isn't what you were aiming for, but it's already telling that the "perfect woman" is white.  I'm not accusing Bioware of overt racism or anything, and it isn't my intent to derail this thread.  I just think there are cultural implications at work in such a suggestion, whether conscious or not, that it is helpful to be aware of.  I'm happy with Miranda as a brunette.

Who is close friends with a black soldier? If people make that connection (and hah, yeah they will!) they should just stop everything they are doing and rethink their view of life. All I am saying, ME universe could use few more blonde characters. There aren't many of those.

But really, what does the default haircolor matter? You don't have to play as default face. You can change everything.

the custom is less beautiful, worked than default shepard.

I wish I could have a game with, as in other games.

And I do not see the reason for so absurd opposition, from the moment I propose an alternative. An alternative that you are not obliged to join .......

I've seen the blonde Shep and quite frankly she just looks so much better than the original model.

I've always had a bee in my bonnet about how boring Shep was facially; she looks like every other Shep I've ever seen (because the editing options were so rubbish). It's also great to see that they are tweaking the design and finally acknowledging that you don't have to be the size of a small house to be badass; that being more feminine is okay.

I'm petite and I'm blonde, so in my game I don't want to look like a bloke.

LOL!

FYI, Lazuli, Miranda was designed as a blonde. They only went with brunette when they decided to change the face to match the VO actor.

That's BioWare's concept art for her originally. I don't know why they were planning to change her to a blonde after her being a darker-skinned brunette in the iPhone game, but they did change both her and Jacob pretty hugely. She's lighter-skinned and has a totally different face, and Jacob has a completely different head-shape and face.

Okay, so what you're saying is that you want the in-game female Shepard preset to not be blonde.  You are saying this because the preset Shepard is going to be more finely rendered than any custom Shepard could be, as in ME1 or ME2.  So it's not fair for the most finely rendered female Shepard to be blonde, then.  This is what you're saying?

Perhaps the opposition wouldn't seem so absurd if you actually spelled out what you wanted before someone had to take you to task on it.

For the record, I don't care if the default female Shepard is blonde or not.  I suppose my ideal choice would be to include all of the proposed options as presets.  If this is unrealistic for whatever reason, fine, so long as the (admittedly rudimentary) face creator remains in the game.

Completely agree with you.  The tweaking options were so limiting plus it was annoying that we didn't get a good face texture like the male shep did >.<

And I especially agree that you don't have to be big to be a badass (57kilo dude here)!  One of the reasons I play as Femshep is precisely because I like that you don't have to be a big dude to kick arse.  That the hero can go from being an orphan on Earth, have the physical limitations associated with a female physique/genetics, and still become the greatest hero in the galaxy.  Although, admittedly, Shep kind of has to be somewhat substantial in order to Falcon Punch a Yahg:

That you had your reasons not to like Jane Shepard. It though she was good.

As I have my reasons not to like this version so much.

And thinking you do not aim, but I find hypocritical and stupid to accuse me of not liking one version for some personnal reasons, when you asked to change the other Jane.

Obviously everyone's expectations, not necessarily the same. So do not come to lecture on it. because it is frankly ridiculous.

Some people really need to get a life. The default look of a character that you can change to your own preferences really bothers you? Jesus...
